Is there a new brand of preference? I obviously want the same quality that Lincoln was known for prior to the overseas happening. Please respond privately Thanks, Rob

I can probably get my hands on a dyno graph of this motor 95 M3 3.0L bored out to 3.2, using stock 3.2 pistons, crank etc. euro hfm, schrick cams, 96 3.2 headers, no cat, uuc muffler, Conforti intake, big injectors, custom burned chip using dyno info. think it is in the 310-315 range. It idles smoothly, a bit higher than stock to compensate for the LTW flywheel, burps and spits a hair more on overrun than the stock motor, which is cool to me. Does shoot flames out of the exhaust downshifting from 5th to 4th etc, which is way cool. I will ask the owner if he still has the dyno graphs from it Mike

Otherwise, it's in perfect mechanical condition and I've had zero problems with it since owning it. It has the Harmon Kardon stereo system w/ CD changer, M-Sport black cloth interior from an M3 lightweight, split folding rear seats, 3-spoke steering wheel, side door airbags, sunroof, cruise control, 18" Mille Miglia wheels only 3 months old, Bilstein shocks/H&R springs only 3 months old as well. I purchased the car after the original owner crashed it after one month of owning it. The owner was a customer of my friend who owns a body shop. They were supposed to fix the car but the owner refused and somehow managed to get the insurance company to buy him a new car. There was damage to the front and rear sheetmetal and it has been repaired. There was no suspension, engine, or mechanical damage to the car. The original airbags were not triggered and it didn't even need a wheel alignment. There are a few minor scratches and dings, so if you're looking for a cosmetically perfect car, this may not be for you. I've shown this car to a dozen guys already who expected perfection for a car more than $10k less than blue book, so no dreamers please. If you're looking for a mechanically perfect car that you can save thousands of dollars on or looking to make a club racer, this car is perfect. This car has never seen a track. The factory warranty is still good until 50k miles or until September 2002. I have had it serviced and warrantied by East Bay and Allison BMW. The California registration on this car is paid until August 2002. Email me for more info. #6. IFG wheels for sale - from Michael Lawrence

Date: Fri, 10 Aug 2001 18:13:55 -0700 From: "Michael Lawrence" <95m3ltw@home.com> Subject: IFG wheels for sale Hi Folks, One last posting before they go on Ebay. Had several folks interested but seemed to have a problem with the offset and thinking it would not work on their car. Dont know why. 17 x 9 IFG, 4 of them. Bought new, used 4 weekends, only used half a set of Kumhos on them. offset of 37mm. which means NO SPACERS are required. that also means they are about 4-5 mm further out than say a 41mm offset wheel. No rubbing on the shocks, which has always been a problem with other wheels using Hoosiers. NO FREAKING SPACERS to mess with, which is a big bonus in my book when you are rotating the wheels at the track. Hub Centric, no damn rings to deal with like on the SSR Competition wheel. The SSR uses a ring which can be a PITA sometimes or so I have watched folks mess with at the track. They do require fender rolling, BUT so do all of the wheels in a 17 x 9 running hoosiers. the back just needed a little trimming, the front was rolled using the Hakiananannadoadanahdhf (whatever you call the damn thing) fender roller. Not very much trouble at all. I would recommend taking to a body shop to let them do it so no paint is cracked in the process. Very Light, think they are 17, maybe 18lbs, probably the strongest wheel on the market. solid forged etc. $1000 firm, with or without the kumhos which have a few weekends left in them. I dont have pictures, but go to Jim Powells website, they look the same. They are in great shape, no dings, scrapes, etc. like NEW O yea, they are used on a 95 M3. and several other racers use the exact same wheel and offset!!! that was how I knew they would work without any problems thanks Mike O yea the LTW can come with the Wheels for an extra $21,000

Conforti and Eurosport are going to be coming out with >a similar setup for the OBDII cars. Has anyone tried the existing kit on >their 95? Well, the original kit was developed on our dyno with our LTW, so I have some insight! ;^) >What is the drivability, amazing > torque loss extremely minimal >, smog passing? It was for a race car, but it should pass based on having driven the car for a long time and actually smelling the exhaust (car does not run too rich) > Anyone with dyno charts? yes: http://www.evosport.com/brad/ltw_dyno_1.jpg better ones are coming soon. We have actually seen 259 at the wheels on the last pull a couple of weeks ago. >To me this seems like a good alternative to artificial >breathing. Get the UUC Short Shifter, if any. Daniel -- Daniel L. Smith - dls@daniel.org - Sonoma County, CA

First $50 (shipped to your door in the lower 48 states) takes it. I also have a brand new set available as well. First $60 (again, shipped to your door) takes that. #10. Water pumps - from Sean Ganess

Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2001 10:50:50 -0400 From: "Sean Ganess" <Sean.Ganess@lostcluster.net> Subject: Water pumps This past Thursday was the first time my M3 has left me stranded in the 4+ years I had it. The engine started to overheat. I caught it as the needle hovered outside the red warning indicator. When I popped the hood, the coolant was boiling in the expansion tank. I saw no leaks coming from the radiator or hoses. Now my question is I have a 97 M3. Was this year prone to the plastic impeller water pump issue? Some of the past emails I have read imply that this was a problem with 95-96 M3s and BMW started using the steel impeller in 5/96. My M3 was manufactured in early 96 and has ~31K miles on the odometer. Any suggestions on things to look for? I'm planning on doing a coolant flush, thermostat and pump change.
