And not to nit-pick even more - oh sure I will! - but an Isuzu Trooper II isn't a car, either legally or factually. Like most SUVs and minivans it's classified as a light truck. Light trucks had historically enjoyed much more relaxed emissions standards, which may have made it possible for them to stay with carburetors after that became impractical for cars. OBMWC: the BMW X5 is a light truck. It'd certainly lighten your wallet. Neil 96 M3

Just curious what kind of numbers others have gotten with their M3. Only after a fillup. Sometimes after a fillup, it just shows 1/8 or 1/4 tank for about 20 miles. After 20 miles or so, it works fine again. I have just ignored this. Something about being sensitive to the sulfur in the gas. They've revised the fuel senders: http://www.apexcone.com/TechProcedures/FuelSendingUnits/FuelSendingUnits.html I had my car in for service and the dealership whimped out and only replaced one sender with the new version. I don't think the old and new ones are compatible so now I have a situation where I'll be just under a half a tank on the gauge and when I fill it up, I dump in 12 gallons of gas....YIKES! I gotta get the second unit replaced too.
