Date: Thu, 29 Nov 2001 08:50:51 US/Pacific From: peter@guagenti.com Subject: Interstate Battery #? Anyone know the number for the interstate battery that is a replacement for the E36? I had been using a DieHard in my wife's 328i, and it has had a hard time keeping it's charge with her short commute. I replaced it with an Interstate, but I think it's the wrong size (it's smaller than the factory one in my M3). Either way, it doesn't want to keep a charge either. Any help is appreciated. -peterg ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- This message was sent using HiSpeed Technologies Webmail. http://www.hispeed.com ************************************************************* List Commands UNSUBSCRIBE - (in subject line) unsubscribes you from the mailing list. I've never been notified of either recall = (What is MRS?). =20 =20 Could this be because I have a very late '99, or is there some other problem? =20 Patrick Dargan =20 =20 =20

Surely there must be a mechanical check that can be made on the cams directly. If this "TSB" does, in fact, exist then it must provide a means of inspection.... Roger RogRacer@aol.com '95 M3

The power seats _alone_ in that car are huge power drain for such a wimpy battery. I think the leak is a power-hungry aftermarket alarm, but I don't really know how to go about diagnosing the definite draw as opposed to simply replacing the alarm. -p

I am exclusively using the car as a fairly aggressive daily driver around town as well as on the highway. Ideally, there would be a modest setting on the rears given limited access for fine-tuning. What is the consensus on how to set the fronts for various situations. Thanks in advance, DB '99 .. x-brace .. strut barb .. tme .. sharked .. intake .. ss .. etc.

It has a deeper front air dam, chunkier side sills, rear spoiler, a chrome tailpipe, 18" 225/255 wheels/tires, and an upgraded M suspension. Anyone have any more details? Chris

The fronts I set 1/2 turn up from soft. It didn't ride horrible, but if it was only a street car, I would set the rears to 1 or 1.5 turns up from soft. It really depends on your springs and driving style. I think you will get a lot of different answers. If you only use street tires, you probably don't want to go as stiff as I did. (I use the DA's now).
