Well that certainly changes things. It would seem that if you had a cat problem then 1) it would get worse at higher RPMs and 2) it probably wouldn't have done as well on the dyno. I guess it could be something related to the valve train - maybe just normal VaNoS noise or the timing chain, as you said. I'd probably take it to someone who is experienced enough with these cars to recognize the sound.. -Matt --- Paul Elliott <pelliott@rcn.com> wrote: > Date: Fri, 28 Dec 2001 16:12:02 -0500 > From: "Paul Elliott" <pelliott@rcn.com> > Subject: catalytic converter - resonator > > Matt, > > Thank you for your comments. > > >>If you are making 11-12PSI at 6500RPM then you'll > get > about 1.5-1.75psi at 2500. << > > I dont think I made myself clear. Drivers side mirror is now useful and you can see behind as well as to the side of you. 2) Euro Passenger side does not have DOT lettering. 3) Euro mirrors have a MUCH warmer heating element. In rain or especially snow they clear MUCH faster then the US mirrors. Its really nice to be driving in the middle of a blizzard with completely DRY and clear mirrors. The difference was obvious, I tested the elements by leaving the passenger side US combined with the Euro drivers side. More heat from the Euro mirror. Only potential problem is backing up/and or changing lanes if you are used to a conventional driver side mirror, it makes a bit more difficult to judge the distances behind you. Once you get used to it, then it is no problem. -Justin -- '76 02 (Whimsical) '97 M3 (Orion) (Euro mirrors) BMW CCA#77056 check out http://users.vei.net/jgerry

Parts on order.....throttle position sensor and fuel pressure regulator, next appointment set for Jan 10th, will update afterwards. Meanwhile, any more good ideas are more than welcome. Thanks and Happy New Year. I have heated seats in my 95, though, and no heated mirrors.
