Unfortunately, my JTD strut tower bar no longer fits. Since I removed the traction control, the BMW motorsport bar will fit. Does anyone have a motorsport bar for sale or would anyone like to trade a motorsport bar + $50 for my JTD? I'd really prefer a bay area person. Thanks guys! -kit wetzler 97 m3/4

The factory cap nuts they sell for it are really expensive, and I found that if you have adjustable camber plates you can't use them anyway. -peterg '95 M3 (with factory braces, as God intended it ;-)

Date: Wed, 02 Jan 2002 04:12:19 From: "Ron Buchalski" <rbuchals@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: check engine light on Actually, you're using the closed throttle (CT) and wide open throttle (WOT) switches on the throttle plate to tell the DME to display its' stored codes. So, when you send: WOT-CT-WOT-CT-WOT-CT-WOT-CT-WOT-CT the computer will flash the Check Engine light. Note that you must fully release the throttle (CT) five times in addition to fully opening the throttle five times for this to work. -rb >Date: Tue, 1 Jan 2002 09:30:51 -0500 >From: "Paul Elliott" <pelliott@rcn.com> >Subject: check engine light on > >Mike, > >>WOT 5 times real fast and it will flash the code on the check engine >>light. Any advice > would be great! I don't really have an educated opinion here, but I get the feeling this would be a terrible idea.. the fitment might be OK, but I don't even want to think about wiring harnesses for power seats (assuming you mean the power versions) and seat heaters, seatbelt warnings, side air bags, etc etc.. seems like it would be a nightmare to do anything other than hold your ass.. IE, function like a seat in an e46 m3 :) - reid

David, You have a number of viable options, including the factory OEM BMW battery. I've just posted information on our website about other alternatives, which also save weight at the same time. For example, I've got the 13.5 lb. DynaBatt Dry Cell in my E36 with no problems. It saves 36.5 lbs. of static weight from the vehicle. http://www.rogueengineering.com Go to the Tech Tips and click on LTW battery. This makes the car turn in well, but twitchy at speed (you have to drive it to stay straight). My suspension is about as full bore as they come short of the ProTrac and $6k setups. Complete Ground Control equipment (Advanced Design coil overs, shocks, GC spherical bearings everywhere, stiff bushings on the sways, camber plates, etc, etc.).
