Date: Thu, 27 Dec 2001 14:31:33 -0800 From: "David Flanary" <dflanary@markhamvineyards.com> Subject: Looking for Euro springs My '99 has 40K on it and the shocks are getting tired. I'm considering going to Bilstein sports with euro springs. I know that Bilsteins have taken a flaming on the digest for being too stiff, but it also appears that most commonly they are used with stiff lowering springs. I like their longevity and the fact that they have their own housing as well. The reason I am considering the Euro springs is that they are shorter, but not much stiffer than stock (per the info in the tech info section on the bmw-m.net site). It appears that the euro springs are considerably softer than say H&R OE sports. Does anyone: have experience with these springs (>95 versions) know the specs for the >96 P/N know a P/N and where to get them Thanks, Dave

Is anyone running one of these and if so does sparco have a bracket or did you have to make one. Tony Tarheel BMWCCA __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hello and happy new years to everyone, I have a problem with my sunroof, when operated it makes very loud knocking noises. They seem to come from the "chain" mecanism. ? Is there any place on the web, where I could find pictures of the mecanism or usual cause of failure ? Thanks for your help, Philippe 95 M3, 83K miles, no mods Miami,Fl

Date: Wed, 02 Jan 2002 09:45:01 -0800 From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: [E36M3] Bumper oops/fix? I somehow managed to back into something last night and my rear bumper is out of whack. I was only going 3-5 mph, but it managed to shift the right rear of the bumper in and down. Based on how light the bump was, I'd hope this is some thing I could fix myself if it just came of a guide rail or something??? Anyone have a simple do-it-yourself fix, or does this sound like something for a bodyshop? Hm. I have K-mac plates and a JTD brace. They work fine together. If you don't use the special nuts you aren't getting the full benefit of the bar... the special nuts actually center the bar on the studs. (JTD's are just like the factory bar, but have an open top.) If the problem is the length of the studs on the camber plates, use the JTD nuts. They are open and fit fine. hm. -kit -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .

#10. Bumper Slats p/n - from Chris Huff

Date: Wed, 2 Jan 2002 11:34:06 -0800 (PST) From: Chris Huff <huffgroup@yahoo.com> Subject: Bumper Slats p/n Hi all. Hope everyone had a happy holiday season. About a week ago, I was going down the interstate and a retread from an 18 wheeler flew up in front of me. I didn't have time to slow down, and I didn't want to swerve, so it hit the front of my car. Anyway, it destroyed the slats on my '95 Hellrot M3 and took out the mounting bracket on the driver foglight. So, my questions are: Does anyone have the part number for the slats, and I assume I have to get them painted to match? What is the p/n for the mounting bracket for the foglight. Thanks for your help. Chris p.s. YES, I do want to put slats back in. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
