Gordo, however, is correctly credited for the design of the Brabham sucker car, which was essentially a rehash of Jim Hall's Can-Am Chaparral 2J. -Alan, not nearly as innovative as the men above. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I suspect it's the OEM hose clamp failing during the colder weather contraction/expansion. What kind of fluid should I use to top it off until I can fix the leak? Evan

I would highly recomend reading the "H&R Coilover Install" pdf file by Scott King that's posted on Suzy's site......it''s well written and saved me hours, money, and needless frustration. While the write-up is not for the suspension you've picked the parts will come off the same and should (?) mostly go on the same and you'll need the same tools and new parts. And, like Chester said, just take your time.....because there will be at least one thing you must undo on the completed side when you find the extra/missing part, step, instruction, whatever on the side you're working on ;-) Good luck, Mike > -------------------- 6 -------------------- > Date: Fri, 4 Jan 2002 14:04:54 -0600 > From: "Darling Christopher Maj AMC/CEXR" <Christopher.Darling@scott.af.mil> > Subject: Suspension Installation > > I have a 1995 M3 with 92K miles. No idea if this is for both the coupe and 4-dr. Given that the E36 is a narrower car, the total aero drag (Cd x frontal area) is less than the E46 M3. At least we can brag about that. -- Ron Katona

Date: Fri, 4 Jan 2002 19:42:18 -0500 From: Colin_S_Whelan@rrfc.raytheon.com Subject: <E36> Help Removing Interior Panel I was wondering if anyone had a set of instructions on how to remove the interior arm rest trim panel located below the passenger side rear window on an E36 coupe. It's the one just below where the seatbelt mounts on the B pillar. I have something that rattling around in there that I'd like to quiet. I'll try looking in the Bentley too tonight. Thanks, Colin '98 M3/2 (JC soft, JC intake, X-brace, Euro rotors+ R4S, redline, clutch stop....)

I know the massive LS430 and a few other luxo-barges have a surprisingly lower cd - actually, I could swear that I read that the LS430 is under 0.3! #10. another oil question - from Paul Elliott
Top
Date: Fri, 4 Jan 2002 21:14:28 -0500 From: "Paul Elliott" <pelliott@rcn.com> Subject: another oil question Im due for an INspection II as soon as my remaining green light goes out, and I have an oil question for when I go in....I usually use the BMW 5W30 synthetic, which I consume at the rate of a qt per 1200 miles. I found that when the dealer mistakenly put in the conventional 15W40 last time, I consumed it at the rate of 1 qt per 2000 miles....It appears that the thicker oil is consumed to a lesser degree...OR you could conclude that it was the fact that it was a Conventional oil which was the reason it was consumed less. I tend to think it was the thickness though, ie, the 15W vs the 5W. Now, if I want to stay with synthetic, I can choose either the 5W30, or I could try their new 10W60, which is standard fair for the E46 M3s. Does anybody think this would be harmful for our cars? For winter, it still has an accepable cold weather or Winter viscosity of 10W. So, I guess teh question is how would the synthetic 60 do in our cars? --------------------------------------------------------- Paul Elliott '99 White M3; < 40K miles; Dinan stage II SC kit with 6" RMS crank pulley: 11 psi; AA Water Injection; Rotex pads;X-Brace; Stygar SS and Clutch Stop; Sound by Polk, Excelon, JLAudio
