The new braces from Strong Strut are non-hinged. www.strong-strut.com. I have no relationship to the company, but they look pretty darn sturdy. In addition, I believe Ben Liaw at Rogue is coming out with a new, non-hinged brace. If you pilot an M Roadster, it appears that Strong Strut has a cool rear brace for you, which ties together subframe members under the chassis. I was wondering this morning what the coeff. of drag >is on our cars. Anyone have the number handy? Well, the "3 Series Enthusiast's Companion" doesn't list the Cd of the M3s, but does mention that the "regular" 3 series sedans have a Cd of 0.32 and 0.31 for the coupe. What it mentions for the M3 is: "There were, however, extended side sills which helped mask the wider track and fatter rear wheels and thus preserve some decency in the Cd ('drag factor') quotation." Of course, I can't find the quoted number. FWIW, the E30 M3 has a Cd of 0.33 ("regular" E30s are 0.38). Cheers, Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 1993 325is #44 KP

I have a few issues that I thought some people could relate to. =20 My sunroof motor went kaput. I mean a complete failure. So, no sunroof for the two weeks it took to get the part in and the appointment to replace it. =20 The lights in my shift knob and glovebox are both out and the glove box latch button broke. It launched across the passenger side a few days ago. The simple plastic tensioners that hold it in place broke. =20 I am also getting a set of Euro mirrors. The jury is still out on the total cost. =20 One weird question though: When I first start my car in this weather my horn will not work until the car warms up a bit. Has anyone else experienced this one? Is there a simpple fix or is it a "deal with it" problem? =20 I am going to Tishcer for my warranty service. The person looking for = an independant shop I recommend either Exclusiserve in Rockville or one of the two Curry's automotive locations. I have had excellent experiences with all. My car came from VOB and I will try to avoid doing any kind = of business with them in the future. =20 R. Ehrlich 98 M3, Alpine White

Has anyone else > experienced this one? Is there a simpple fix or is it a "deal with it" > problem? Sounds like a horn that's on its way out. My original horn went at a few thousand miles. The replacement went recently as well and was replaced yet again =( Just change them out...simple as that. I believe to get at them, you have to remove the underpanel.
