#3. Is X-brace worth it? - from eevans@planetc.com

Date: Mon, 14 Jan 2002 19:05:29 -0500 From: eevans@planetc.com Subject: Is X-brace worth it? I'm thinking about installing the transmission X-brace on my '95 M3. What's the general consensus on it's worth? I don't do much track activity, maybe a school every year or so. Will it be worth it for every day spirited driving? Also I'm still trying to find out what PS fluid I should use to top off a minor leak. Anybody out there know what I should use? Evan

Date: Mon, 14 Jan 2002 20:13:56 -0600 From: "The Abels" <aAbel@austin.rr.com> Subject: Re: [E36M3] M3 Alignment Setting Help! Without crash bolts, shims or camber plates, the front camber cannot be adjusted. And, camber plates are req'd for caster adjustment, I believe. I'm running -1.8 front camber, 0 front toe, -1.5 rear camber, 1/8 total toe-in rear. Settings for a street driven car that sees occasional track time. The car *really* wants to turn, though not like my friend's track car running -3.5 camber up front and toe-out. . . Can't comment on tire wear; these are new settings. Date: Tue, 15 Jan 2002 02:18:28 From: "Alex Aditya" <adityaax@hotmail.com> Subject: Air filter test? Hi, There was a test done sometime ago (I think it was Jim C.?) on air filters between OEM, ITG & K&N. I seem to recall that the ITG was better then both and also filters dust particles better. I can't seem to find the result anywhere. Does anybody know where can I find it or have an archive of it? Thanks a lot. Alex PS.
