At Laguna Seca, coming into turn 2, I get fluid boiling... ATE took 2-3 laps to recover, Motul was back to firm by turn 5 Sorry I wasn't clear. For the street, you're not going to boil any of the good fluids... Motul 600 is the best for track events, if you swap it out frequently. As long as you're not too hard on your brakes, Valvoline synthetic is fine, at $4 a quart. ATE isn't as good as Motul on the track, but is a lot more expensive than Valvoline and over kill for the street. -kit -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .

#3. Swaybar clamp - from Luis Rueda

Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 15:49:45 -0500 From: "Luis Rueda" <Luis_Rueda@Interliant.com> Subject: Swaybar clamp A couple of wks ago I started to hear a clunk coming from the front passenger side of my '95 M3, I took the wheel off & found that the clamp that holds the swaybar bushing had snapped off. I put in a new one & a couple of days ago I hear a similar noise but this time from the driver side. I look under the car & the driver side clamp had snapped off this time. I was curious if anybody else had experienced something similar. I assume that because I drove the car for a couple of days without the passenger side clamp, the driver side one weakened from the stress & eventually also gave up (?). I have Bilsteins sports, H&R springs & RD swaybars & I was wondering if the beefed up suspension may have caused the 1st clamp to fail. Regards, Luis BMWCCA member '95 M3 (it doesn't handle very well right now)

I decided to go = with the TC Kline Streetline setup and add the LTW X-Brace. =20 But, how long can I expect the Konis to last? Does anyone have any info on that? I mean, the stock setup was pretty much done at 40K. What = about the Konis and their warranty? =20 Thanks again. =20 R Ehrlich 98 M3

Hydroscopic refers to an optical device used in marine exploration. You may be confusing it with the term hydrophillic. - -Matt -----Original Message----- From: Mark Radelow [mailto:radelow@hotmail.com] Now while Motul is very good and has excellent braking characteristics it is also _VERY_ hydroscopic. Where do you connect your trickle charger during the hibernation season, directly to the battery or under the hood? Why? For some perverse reason I enjoy drinking my morning joe in a 'CHP' cup; it's conveniently sized and with the self closing top I can reach up and silence my V1 without spilling a drop. It is kept from sliding around with 3M "cubicle velcro" which is non-destructive. The wire from the solar panel then snakes behind the folding rear seat into the trunk, and then to the battery. An elegant solution I thought--I never have to mess with it and I can leave it at the airport for 2-3 weeks where it gets a gentle bath of acid rain to keep it shiny. - Skip jeff kumler wrote: > > Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 13:29:25 -0800 (PST) > From: jeff kumler <jdkumler@yahoo.com> > Subject: Trickle chargers... > > As a point of comparison, I am looking for answers to > the following question(s). > > Where do you connect your trickle charger during the > hibernation season, directly to the battery or under > the hood?
