All I know about SUPERTRAPP (from my reading of the sys on roadfly long time ago) are: Very lightweight Cheap (comparing to the $650+ 'brandname' systems) Adjustability (flow) ANY help/info re. SUPERTRAPP would be greatly appreciated. What type to buy, where to get them (from above links?), fabrication/construction/sizing/spec of the tube, tips, things to know, comments (SuperTrapp on E36 M3)etc... Thanks in advance, Frank fchang_m@hotmail.com _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.

Those are the ones I got for apx. $30-$40, but I have yet to get them welded on. I bought the ones from Turner too, excellent quality. Had my Dealer weld them on, cost about $100. Worth the peace of mind when autoxing since I run with Eibach sway bars. Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA AS Champion 1997 & 2000 BSP Champion 2001

Oh, yeah, it's worked fine for me, too. I suppose it's fine to pay more for more exotic stuff, but why? Yep, just switched to this about two months ago. No problems of any kind. No additional limited slip additive needed either! Think I'll switch to Mobil 1 ATF before the autox season starts. No problems with the Redline MTL, but all Mobil 1 products I've tried including engine oil seem to work great in the M3. YMMV. I'm in the middle of replacing the pads and rotors on all four corners of my 97 M3. Does anybody know the official procedure to adjust the shoes and then the interior handle? Haven't taken the rear rotor off yet. Thanks.. Ed

I like my Luxo too. I enjoy the look of the wood trim around the shifter, and on the door handles. The leather inserts in the doors adds a lot of interest to the interior. I like the seats, but I also think the Vader seats are great to. I've added the front spoiler lip and the mesh cover in the air dam like the sport. I'd prefer the sport side skirts but not for what it would cost to replace my Luxo ones. One of the big reasons I got the Luxo package was for the M-Contour wheels. I really like the way they make the car look. Anyway, since I don't have a sunroof, I can afford the extra weight...the power seat motors helps lower my center of gravity ;-)) Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe - civilized fury Philly Region SCCA AS Champion 1997 & 2000 BSP Champion 2001

#8. New Konis - from The Buch

Date: Fri, 25 Jan 2002 21:30:32 -0800 From: The Buch <the_buch@telus.net> Subject: New Konis Just got my new Streetline suspension in (H&R OEs with Koni SAs). Based on consensus from the list, I have set the rears at 3/4 turn (~40%) up from full soft. The dealer has set the fronts at 'stiff' vs 'stiff-stiff', whatever this means, plus I did not get the instructions back, so do not know what my operating range is. I think there may be two full turns available?? It also appears that to go stiffer, the direction is counter-clockwise which seems a bit counter-intuitive?? Good thing I bought an extended adjuster from Dali Racing as the plastic device which comes with the Konis is not even close to clearing my UUC Strut Bar. Any suggestions for how to experiment with this appreciated. Regards, DB

I can, and have removed and replaced them in about .5 hours total (probably less). It sure sound like your shop bent you over and had at it. I would seriously be looking for a new mechanic.

The adjuster should be fairly easy to get to in front, and yes, it is counter-clockwise in front to stiffen the rebound. Depending on your other suspension parts and tolerance for ride quality, I would suggest a little more in the rear, like 1.5 turns (which should be about 50%). Then you can dial in the front to suit. Might want to start with around 0.5-1.0 turns in front, but much depends on what else you have done to the suspension.
