Please keep in mind that you have to do the fabrication yourself (or your mechanic), so the fit and finish depend on your craftsmanship. You also have to adjust the flow by using certain amount of disks. In my case, it took me a while to dial in the correct setup. I screwed up a few bolts while doing the adjustment. You also have to remove the disks every time you do smog. I finally removed all the disks and drove it that way for a few weeks. Of course I lost quite a bit of torque without the disks. I got so tired of it at the end that I bought an Ansa unit to replace it. After saying this I would like to add that they might have improved the product over the years. All I know about SUPERTRAPP (from my reading of the sys on roadfly long time ago) are: Very lightweight Cheap (comparing to the $650+ 'brandname' systems) Adjustability (flow) ANY help/info re. SUPERTRAPP would be greatly appreciated. What type to buy, where to get them (from above links?), fabrication/construction/sizing/spec of the tube, tips, things to know, comments (SuperTrapp on E36 M3)etc... _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com

I just switched from 4x55w in my euros to 4x100w.. just installed the euros two weeks ago, 100w bulbs last week. I ordered my hella bulbs thru www.pelicanparts.com.. porsche place in el segundo. They also do some BMW stuff, but obviously doesn't matter for just bulbs. Have you compared 100w versus 55w? I was *extremely* disappointed with my hella 100w versus the osram 55w's that were in there before. I did one side at a time and compared them, I literally cannot tell the difference. With all 4 bulbs swapped, I *think* maybe it's a tiny bit brighter, but that might be wishful thinking. I didn't upgrade my wiring with relays or anything, so I wasn't expecting full performance from the 100's.. but I figured I'd get to 85w of brightness before the wiring choked me. I can't believe they're not really any brighter than my 55's. Anybody gone thru this experience? Are your 100's significantly brighter? Did you have to wire in new relays? - reid > I have gone through 2 H1 bulbs in my Euro headlights in the past couple of > months. Correct, the rebuilt head was "pilot-error" :-) Sorry if there was any inference that the rebuild was oil related. I just mentioned it for completeness in the description. Jim

I told y'all that going from 55Watt to 100Watt will not add significant light output. What's the efficiency with halogen bulbs? is the light output linearly related to current draw? I know with metal halid arc discharge technology, light output gets better with higher wattage (in other words, it doesn't vary linearly). Some say that you need fatter "pipes" to the 100W bulbs to be able to see a difference. Of course, if you do that, you have to run completely new wires to from the fusebox to the headlamps. I haven't recently done a direct comparison, but probably should. Especially since I have 8 55W bulbs laying around :-) (4 originals from the Euro lights, and 4 from 2 sets of broken foglights.) > Did you have to wire in new relays? Relays don't need to be upgraded, fuses do. 10A IIRC. Plus it helps to have the high-temp wiring available from Josh @ Eurosport. Cheers, Jim Bassett

Yup, there are both upper and lower control arms ("wishbones" in the parts CD) and a trailing arm in the rear. There's no trailing arm up front, so there really shouldn't be any confusion. The number Circle gave you for a '95 trailing arm bushing is correct. The part # I gave you for the '95 (33 32 1 137 806) has been superseded by that number... I didn't check for that. However, it's still not the part you want. You want the '96+ trailing arm toe bushing which is firmer. That part number has not been superseded on the ETK version I have (26 June 2001) and is still 33 32 2 228 153. No, unfortunately there's no on-line reference. You have to purchase the parts CD (ETK) from BMW. -- Ron Katona

I've checked with local dealer, their ETK says NLA but they've ordered it anyway, still on backorder status for over 45 days and probably won't come in. I would also settle for good aftermarket paint if the color match (Alpinweiss-300) was ok. TIA Mike 98M3C
