I actually bought it 'cause my wife's Passat has a belly pan that makes conventional oil changing a real pain, but I use it on both cars, and the lawnmower. It gets an incredible amount of oil out - I see 7 quarts from the M3. The only problem is the things capacity is only 6, so I have to stop part way through and empty it into another container. It also takes a fair amount of time, but I just wander off and do something else. - Alain ----- Original Message ----- From: "S Lafredo" <slafredo@yahoo.com> To: "E36M3" <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Sent: Monday, February 11, 2002 6:57 AM Subject: [E36M3] Top Side Oil Changers? > Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2002 05:51:27 -0800 (PST) > From: S Lafredo <slafredo@yahoo.com> > Subject: Top Side Oil Changers? > > Does any own or have you used a top side oil changer? > > If so what do you think? > > Does it really remove more oil than draining from the plug? > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Send FREE Valentine eCards with Yahoo! With stock RSMs? Did they say whether they damaged shock towers were the result of extended driving with damaged RSMs? I wonder if aftermarket RSMs (GC, JTD, etc) would be more prone to damage the shock towers than stock (E36 or E46) RSMs? -rb >Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2002 10:20:32 -0600 >From: Thomas Salva <tsalva@ix.netcom.com> >Subject: RSMs --> check for cracks in the shock tower ! > >Paul, >I just went thru the whole RSM ordeal on my 98 M3/4. #10. what line level drives the factory E36 stereo? - from Chris Papademetrious
Top
Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2002 11:13:49 -0500 From: Chris Papademetrious <chrispitude@yahoo.com> Subject: what line level drives the factory E36 stereo? Everyone, I'm buying a new head unit that has a 4V line-level output. Will this hook right up to the line level wiring in the dash to drive the factory amp? I have a 95 M3 without the HK stereo package. I tried driving the factory line level inputs with the line outputs from my Blaupunkt Toronto, but that didn't work; I ended up having to use the speaker outputs to get enough juice to drive the factory amp. Has anyone been down this road before? All replies greatly appreciated, - Chris
