TC's recommendation for the street is soft/soft (I remember reading somewhere that Konis should not be set to either of the extreme settings, so 1/4 turn from full soft might be safer). I assure you this does NOT feel soft in any sense of the word....Rather, its much stiffer than stock, but also more compliant when doing the bumps and rolls then was my 37K mile stock suspension, which had already losts its ability to absorb the bumps. I think going any stiffer would be unacceptable with the roads around here...Id be tempted in the future to maybe try a half turn stiffer on the fronts...But to me, the rears is where I feel the bumps more. It seems that the fronts absorb, but if the rears are too stiff, you feel it right in your butt, and throughout your body. I think that the 'hardness' perception one has of their suspension comes more from the rears than the fronts. I dont know if everyone perceives it this way, but thats how it seems to me....Thats why I'll keep the rear settings the way they are, and it doesnt matter to me that theyre harder to get at to adjust. Double check that your offset CA bushings are installed on the appropriate sides. For the rear SAs, KONI recommends fully collapsing the shock and turning the piston rod CCW until it stops, then turning 1/2 turn CW as a starting point. Is this what you mean by not being fully at the extreme setting. The fax also says there are about 5 half turns of total adjustment range. I have my rears set at 2 half turns from the full soft extreme (1/2 turn stiffer than KONIs recommended start.), and it feels pretty stiff. I probably won't get the fronts on until next week. During additional test drives last night, the car tended to spin in the opposite direction (clockwise). It seemed that the front left wheel was locking, but the ABS on the other wheels was working appropriately. Again, the ABS warning light was not triggered. Brake fluid had been changed just prior to he original event. The current theory is that air in the = brake line could be causing the problem. Is this viable? Any other ideas? =20 Nick 95 M3 =20 Original Post: At a recent safety / driving school event, a 50 mph straight-line panic stop resulted in my car spinning counter-clockwise about 150 degrees. The behavior was repeatable. The local hypothesis was that the left side ABS was working and the right was not. =20 Looking for any troubleshooting-repair help or suggestions.

Your emails are a PITA to read with the '=20' garbage interspersed throughout the message. Now onto your question. It is highly unlikely that you only have air bubbles next to one (left front) caliper. What's more the air in the system would compress and prevent the caliper from locking. That's the exact opposite of what you are describing. It sounds like there is something wrong with your front left caliper itself and not the ABS system. Have you inspected the caliper seals? How many miles do you have on the cars and when was the last time you had the caliper seals rebuilt?
