If you know the details on this, or have done it yourself, I'd appreciate getting some information. Date: Tue, 19 Feb 2002 11:42:19 EST From: LoweSeaton@aol.com Subject: Re: [E36M3] Dual-pickup Fuel Pump / Pickup in Tank Writeup? Andrew, What year is your M3? '95 right? Funny you should have a fuel starvation problem. I haven't heard of other '95 M3's with this problem. I know I can run my '95 down to the orange reserve light and still no starvation. We have an independent BMW repair shop in Dallas called Autoscope. Our local BMW club just held a very good tech session there Saturday where we disected the VaNoS on a Dinan Supercharged M3. Very perforance oriented and enthusiastic owner and mechanics. The mechanic showed us a dual fuel pump he is modifying and planning to install in the above Dinan S/C M3. He started with the right side pump and modified it to go into the left side tank and then tapped into the supply fuel line. He is putting an on/off switch on it so it can be used just at the track. He discouraged using the second pump all the time because it may damage the fuel regulator. You might give Shawn (mechanic) or Nerces (owner - pronounced "nurses") a call at Autoscope - Plano. Phone number: 972-867-7467 Another question I have is it legal to have a second fuel pump in BMW CCA club racing? Good luck, Lowell Seaton '95 M3 Dallas, Texas

It happened numerous times... -- Rex Tener rex_tener@yahoo.com 1996 BMW M3 _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? A few people suggested the Recaro Pole Position and there were a couple of others, but we have a deal with Sparco, so I will probably stick with them. AA modded a Mercedes Benz part for make their rubber t/a bushing, and I *think* they did the same for the rear control arm bushing, but am unsure." Hm. I emailed AA and got a reply that they use a spherical bearing. The pictures sure *look* like some sort of rubber bushing. Other companies with rubber bushings are in the same price range, and the guys with spherical bearings are $200 more. AA doesn't mention one way or the other on their page. Anyone have more info on the subject? andy r.
