Since the filter barely clears my stock US light and I can't see the "ITG" word on the filter, I suppose it won't fit cars with Euro lights without augmentation. First offer over $274.99 plus shipping takes it. Wen 96 M3 with psst, psst thing now and missing the intake roar WOT. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.

Of course, it could also have something to do with the tracks that I've driven on (Summit Point Main and Jefferson, and VIR full course), but I've taken the fuel level down to 3/8 tank with no starvation problems. Now, on my E34 525iT, I've seen the fuel gauge drop from 1/4 tank to E (and turn on the orange light) when driving at highway speeds, around a long sweeping right-hand curve. As soon as the road straightens out, the needle will head back up to 1/4 tank, and the light will turn off. I've never had it suffer from starvation problems when this occurs. -rb >Date: Tue, 19 Feb 2002 19:09:50 -0500 >From: "Michael" <95m3ltw@charter.net> >Subject: Re: [E36M3] Dual-pickup Fuel Pump / Pickup in Tank Writeup? > >It is a very common problem. #5. Anyone install a LTW splitter on a non-LTW? - from Geof McLaughlin

Date: Wed, 20 Feb 2002 15:47:44 -0500 From: Geof McLaughlin <gfmiiilist@usa.net> Subject: Anyone install a LTW splitter on a non-LTW? I read the excellent write-up "1995 BMW M3 LWT Front Splitter R&R" by Andrew Kalman on the M Power web site, but since Andrew's car was a LTW, it doesn't address all my questions. Specifically, I have been told that this is not exactly a simple bolt-together application. I believe that the front bumper bracket and cover may have to be modified, but I don't know what is needed and why. Can anyone provide some insight? Any other tips would be appreciated as well. Thanks. Geof

I did a couple of years ago. from what I can remember, some M3s did not have the pre drilled metal bumper. there should be 4 holes with a conical screw hole on top. I also think we had to trim the inside bottom of the plastic bumper cover, think the bars coming up from the splitter were about 2-3 inches forward of where the bumper cover ended, requiring some trimming. But nothing major that I can remember. His bumper did have the holes, other wise you would need to drill them if you dont. I would also suggest lubing the bolts on the sliding part of the splitter before installing. mike ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geof McLaughlin" <gfmiiilist@usa.net> To: "E36M3" <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Sent: Wednesday, February 20, 2002 4:01 PM Subject: [E36M3] Anyone install a LTW splitter on a non-LTW? > Date: Wed, 20 Feb 2002 15:47:44 -0500 > From: Geof McLaughlin <gfmiiilist@usa.net> > Subject: Anyone install a LTW splitter on a non-LTW? > > I read the excellent write-up "1995 BMW M3 LWT Front Splitter R&R" by > Andrew Kalman on the M Power web site, but since Andrew's car was a LTW, it > doesn't address all my questions. > > Specifically, I have been told that this is not exactly a simple > bolt-together application. #8. Slightly OT: Autocross Lot Dimensions? - from peter@guagenti.com

Date: Wed, 20 Feb 2002 16:30:33 US/Pacific From: peter@guagenti.com Subject: Slightly OT: Autocross Lot Dimensions? This question is slightly off topic, but being that many of you are autocross fanatics, I thought I'd ask. How big is a typical autocross lot? In the Bay Area, we recently lost a couple of our locations in the northern part of the Bay, and I became aware of someone who is willing to rent us a space for very little money. It sounds on the small side, but I am unsure. Any information you have would be appreciated. If you know someone off the list who may know this info, I'd really love it if you could pass it on. Thanks, -peterg (would love an autocross site 10 minutes from my house) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using HiSpeed Technologies Webmail. http://www.hispeed.com

I don't know about the arrogant/insensitive part but your (IMO understandable) annoyance was actually aimed at a fake e-mail. The whole "If you want so and so to fix it then tough luck" e-mail that you responded to was a fake from another list member who was equally annoyed. The real e-mails just said something to the effect of "I'll be out until the 25th" or something. -Matt --- Paul Elliott <elliott.paul@worldnet.att.net> wrote: > Date: Wed, 20 Feb 2002 18:51:56 -0500 > From: "Paul Elliott" <elliott.paul@worldnet.att.net> > Subject: Re: [E36M3] Got your E mail but....... > > Thanks...I just thought his post about '..just > having to put up with it...' > was needlessly arrogant and insensitive. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? #10. My car whines alot - from Eric Trela

Date: Wed, 20 Feb 2002 22:11:09 -0500 From: "Eric Trela" <eric@trela.com> Subject: My car whines alot Greetings, My 95 M3 2dr has developed an odd sound - a whine coming from the front of the engine near the belts. I was going to try the WD-40 trick to see if it needs a new belt or an adjustment, but I noticed that when I turn on electrical devices like the headlights the whine gets much louder. At this point I thought I would see if anyone had any ideas since I have not seen this before. Is this a tell tale sign of something going bad or out of adjustment? Any things to check in this case? Thanks, Eric eric@trela.com 95 M3
