#1. RE: Strut Bar - from Jason Lombard

Date: Sat, 02 Mar 2002 10:09:30 -0800 From: Jason Lombard <racebro@santacruzbicycles.com> Subject: RE: Strut Bar Chris, As the former owner of more than a few late model Mustangs-- including a very modded Cobra, ask you friend to put a jack on the jack point in front of the rear wheel and jack the rear wheel up off of the ground. Huh, that front wheel stays on the ground doesn't it? My '95 M3 with no braces whatsoever gets both off of the ground from one jacking point. That Mustang (Saleen or not) needs every bit of bracing that it can get. Bracing is important for our cars too, but the LTW X-Brace solves a majority of the bracing issues that our cars have-- and it does it from the bottom. The one's for my stang are 4 point, much better." Huh? .... Thanks, Chris

The ride was acceptable over all but the most cratered pavement, but I did notice on sharp vertical bumps like frost heaves that the car launched very aggressively off the bumps. I set the front to the mid point yesterday before entering a very rough patch of freeway, and the ride was actually much better. Initial compliance was the same, but the response after impact was much smoother. The higer rebound damping seems to soften the speed with which the springs can pound the wheel back to the pavement. Counterintuitive - stiffer damping = smoother ride, but it makes sense when you think about what's going on. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mike </DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <a href='http://g.msn.com/1HM105401/13'>http://explorer.msn.com</a>.<br></html>

What I mean is the lock that pops when you remove the key from the ignition. It doesnt always pop. So I have to go back and jiggle the key till it does. Otherwise there is no steering wheel lock and the key in the ignition bell goes off. Robert
