Neil wrote just a week or so ago: "Will Turner has replacement stainless steel pistons for around $100/pair." I have checked, but I did not see them in the site. < http://www.turnermotorsport.com/ > Vern wrote: "Also, if anyone has a good source (or has a new and unused set around) of DOT stainless steel lines for an E36M3, let me know." I think BAS has DOT lines on sale right now, go to site, search for "brake line". < http://www.bavarianautosport.com/shop.asp > KLB 99M3/2 no financial interest in either co.

It's a stamped piece of metal that's about 2.5 - 3 mm thick. The inner front control arm ball joint mounts to this piece as well. The nusert grips this metal and provides 5mm+ of threads for the bolts. I guess if you're a masochist, you can put a regular nut on the other side. Not sure...just a guess. Most of the dealers I've been to only gave 10-15%. Even when I call from my bro-in-law's auto repair shop they only give 15% (shop discount) -Bobby ----- Original Message ----- > know of except for the seals which you can get at bimmerparts.com. Wow, I am not sure where Luis or his friend is located but I nearly bought a 1991 NSX back in 1999 in NE Ohio (before I ended up finding my 1995 M3) and this NSX was immaculate with less than 30,000 miles and the asking price was $32,000 (from an overpriced high-end local car dealer). I must not be up on used NSX prices at all. Regards, Rich 95 M3 - glad I purchased this instead.

Aren't the holes (that receive the nutserts) larger than the diameter of the thread of the bolt itself? That would make it very difficult to do what you suggest. Besides, like Brian said, the material is pretty thin. Regards, Rich 95 M3 89 325is

I believe there are few other BMW dealers offering 25% off, but I would say the norm is 20% off. Also, when my local BMWCCA chapter (Boston) has general meetings or special tech session at a BMW dealer, they usually offer 25% for that event only. Geof

While I don't advocate running red lights, knowing if there is a Red Light camera can mean the difference between proceeding through an intersection that you entered on while still yellow and threshold braking to try and stop for the red... In CA it's OK, but I bet there are places in Tennessee etc using X-band, so it might be wise to enable it on road trips. now if only they'd make it so you could deactivate the annoying audible self-test on power-up...
