I'll just stop by the book store on the way home and see what > they have and comparison shop. Time for everyone's top 3 racing books. Here's mine: - "Going Faster" by Carl Lopez for the Skip Barber Racing School Very technical, but comprehensive. If you don't have a clear understanding of car control and "the line", this is an excellent book to start with. - "Drive to Win" by Carrol Smith I love this guy's attitude. This book covers how to drive and how to understand your car while on track. Carrol Smith is a genius. - "Speed Secrets" by Ross Bentley Good overall summary of track techniques. This is one of those 'if you buy just _one_ book' selections. You're making the right choice of them all though -- getting seat time. The books are great starting points so you're not a complete dumbass when your instructor is explaining things to you, but there's no replacement for experience. -peterg ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using HiSpeed Technologies Webmail. http://www.hispeed.com

The reason I brought this up is because I'm working on getting all the parts necessary to remove the fan and replace the thermostat, tstat housing (aluminum), aux fan temp switch, Redline water wetter, BMW antifreeze and the gaskets. I have everything but the water wetter and temp switch which are both on order and should get them by the end of the week. If there's enough interest, I'll do a writeup (hopefully with pics). -Bobby

The problem is the diagnostic message center: "TAILLIGHT FAILURE". Hmmm. I check the wiring harness plug, and it's all secure. Then I pulled the plug off again and compared the socket in the old taillight to the socket in the new taillight. The old plug socket has 7 pins, but the plug socket on the new light has only 6. WTF?
