A freakin' Land Rover Disco. Sheesh. > See if you can get her off that one. I saw a Disco on its side in an interesction here in I have also seen a few with the wheels in the air around Atlanta. But out of all the car nuts and non car folks that I know around here, Everyone that has owned a Disco stated they would never make that mistake again. They seemed to experience a wide range of problems, ranging from electrical interior stuff to major trans problems. If she must have one, I would REALLY, REALLY check out your local Rover dealer as you will probably be dealing with them frequently. I did like driving them though, especially off road until his wife caught us before we had cleaned the mud off her ride. Mike

I have mine mounted to the left of the mirror's mounting point, but it does not extend any further left than the left edge of the mirror. It sits *on top* of the mirror, sandwiched between it and the headliner. Make sense? Also, the sunvisor's range of motion isn't affected at all by mounting it here. Good luck. The power cord is tucked under the headliner and down the A pillar to the fuse box. Since you can't easily see the detector there, I bought the Concealed display kit and placed it on the dash next to the A Pillar on the driver's side. I really like this setup since I rarely have a passenger and consequently, any need for the passenger visor. This setup is also a plus because Mr. Officer can't really see either the detector or the concealed unit. ===== Prakash Maggan http://hometown.aol.com/dinan750 Email: prakash@maggan.org __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? After all, "tire wear is tire wear" (almost Yogi Bera like, good job Reid :-) I would only add that one should be careful when rotating tires. I have discussed this at length with Gary D. (ex-tire engineer and currently an accident reconstruction specialist, expert witness, etc.) and others and I am of the opinion that the best tread should always be on the rear. At a minimum, the differences between the front and rear should be minimized. According to Paul's explanation, at a certain point, his rear tires could be near shot with the fronts at 50%. This is a very bad combination on the street. Later, Rich 95 M3 - Wasted MXX3s - at least they are wasted even more on the front than the rear right now.

Nicolas" <wes@nicolas.org> Subject: Re: Valentine One Install By far, the best mounting configuration for the V1 is inside the 3rd brakelight housing and then using Jim Powell's InV1si-Mirror. See <http://community.webshots.com/user/jmciver74> http://community.webshots.com/user/jmciver74 for the "V1 Stealth Install" photos See <http://www.apexcone.com/Radar/RadarLove.html> http://www.apexcone.com/Radar/RadarLove.html for the InV1-si Mirror. Drawbacks: Can't move the V1 from vehicle to vehicle. No Laser reception Advantages: Cool, super stealth (for those who live in VA and D.C.), almost impossible to steal. I have this setup on my car and it works great. Radar attenuation through the rear deck is about 1% or so. Good luck!!
