Will be moving to Mobil 1 75W90 during the next flush too. Also, I have an x-brace to install and though I remembered someone saying that there was an additional rubber bump stop that could be purchased for it that would help maintain pinion angle under acceleration.  Am I imagining things?  This is the biggest waste of information I have ever seen posted on a vendor's website. Don't even bother. By the time the oil pan would contact the buffer stop, you'd have other worries. Chester ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! The buffer mentioned was a part from BMW but it was a waste of money. My LTW has the Xbrace installed on it and there is no clearance issues at all and never has been any. If your oilpan ever gets even remotely close to contacting the Xbrace then you have some major problems with your car and you need to have it checkd out. Seth Thomas www.m3ltw.com

I have the Sachs Sport and it works just fine with the turbo. I think that it is the torque, not HP that dictates the clutch requirements. I'd expect that my turbo makes nearly as much torque as your SC (with much less HP due mostly to AA's crappy design). I got my clutch from Zygmunt motors at bimmerparts.com. -Matt --- Paul Elliott <elliott.paul@worldnet.att.net> wrote: > > If its just a stronger clutch, ie, stronger clamping > force , that Im after, > how do you guys feel about the AA offering? #7. euro HFM and injectors... - from Dorffer, Rich
Top
Date: Tue, 26 Mar 2002 10:40:58 -0500 From: "Dorffer, Rich" <RDORFFER@CleIndians.com> Subject: euro HFM and injectors... Well, since I originally posted the question, I thought I would recap what I think the gist of the matter is. I have read a lot on this topic in the last few days including archives of the E36M3 Digest, the UUC Digest, European Car, etc. I have seen mixed messages on this but in the end, I think this is what I have determined: - Stock injectors on a '95 M3 are 17.5lb/hr and the stock injectors on a '96 - '99 M3 are 21.5lb/hr (~23% greater). - The DME is able to adjust the fuel ratio approximately +/-10% based on the sensors, etc. - The stock injectors on a '95 M3 are adequate with a chip, intake and Euro HFM although just about maxed out (at ~280 hp at the crank). - Since they are near maxed out in this configuration, the duty cycle is near/at 100% in the highest RPM range, therefore, the '95 M3 can benefit from larger injectors on the track if there is sustained running near red line. - If you do upgrade to larger injectors, you will need to have the chip reprogrammed as you will not be fully benefiting from the injectors without telling it what injectors you are running in order to stay within the DME's adjustment range (the larger injectors will use up all the adjustment in the one direction). No real performance improvement will be noted though as the stock injectors were able to provide adequate fuel previously. - More radical cams along with a chip, intake and Euro HFM or a supercharger/turbocharger (basically, as you go over ~280 hp at the crank) will necessitate larger injectors (along with an appropriate chip). I also believe when you see such small gains on the dyno (in the range of 5-10 hp) like European Car, you have to wonder what other variables may have come into play to also account for the difference. I studied the dyno charts and the difference was barely distinguishable through most of the rpm range with the addition of the larger injectors. Thanks for everyone's help. I think I will stick with my stock injectors, maybe clean them (more to follow on this topic). Regards, Rich Dorffer 95 M3 - stock injectors with JC Intake, JC Chip and Euro HFM PS - Looking through some of my old archives, I have excerpted the following on this topic: -------------------- 9 -------------------- Date: Thu, 19 Jul 2001 14:50:32 -0600 From: Josh <eurosprt@xmission.com> If you have an E36 3.0l M3 with a Euro HFM intake, chip, and muffler, you don't need the larger injectors. If you have the above car plus camshafts or supercharger or use the car for racing then you might need or gain benefit from use of a higher flow fuel injectors. And you will only gain that benefit if your car has a properly tuned chip that has been fully calibrated to your injectors.

I was looking into ordering on, but I believe they're backordered for another 4 or 5 weeks. I believe the price is about $135, which doesn't sound too bad, but I've never seen one in person to comment on the quality (though other JTD products I've seen have been great).
