#3. TC Kline/BimmerHaus Roll Bars - from ERogers005@aol.com
Top
Date: Tue, 9 Apr 2002 22:51:20 EDT From: ERogers005@aol.com Subject: TC Kline/BimmerHaus Roll Bars I have a TC Kline roll bar in my 95 M3 and it's an excellent piece of equipment. I'm very happy with the build quality and fitment. Jim Liethauser (sp) supervised the production of these bars when he was with TC Kline and stayed in touch with me during the build. With Jim's experience and customer service I would guess BimmerHaus would produce an equally good product. But that's just my .02. Do yourself a favor and have it professionally installed. Conversion Techniques (Oakland) installed mine. But then my memory's an occasionally leaky vessel, so to be sure I looked it up on the parts CD: 95 M3 - M double spoke wheels style 22 - 7 1/2 J x 17, ET41 - P/N 36 11 2 227 194 So I'm going to have to disagree with you about the normal 95 M3. Obviously you'd be correct about the staggered rims on your LTW (same 235/40-17 tires all round though), also the 96+ (staggered tires now too). #10. H&R springs question - from Rich Beebe

Date: Wed, 10 Apr 2002 11:00:47 -0400 From: Rich Beebe <rich@beebecomm.com> Subject: H&R springs question I bought a set of H&R springs (used in great condition) a couple of years ago and I'm just now getting around to installing them. I noticed, when I checked them again, I have 29910 front springs (which is the correct 'sport' number) and 29936 rear springs (which is the rear spring for the H&R coilover setup. Now, the coilover setup says the rears have a drop of 1-1.75", obviously based on the adjuster. The 29910 rear springs are listed at a 1" drop (same as the 29936 w/o adjustment). Does anyone know if these springs actually have different spring rates and has anyone else run this combination by chance? Thanks. Rich

Just to clarify... we don't "also" produce them -- we are the *only* manufacturer now. TC Kline Racing ceased roll bar production last year and we struck a deal with TC at the SEMA Show last November to produce them. If you order one directly from TC (which you can still do) we made it. Our fabricator is the same person who makes all the Spec Racer chassis for SCCA Enterprises. I'd like to say our bars are "better" than the old ones, but that wouldn't be fair to TC's Ohio fabricator, who was very, very good. I'll just say that the design is the same (for now we're still using TC's jigs) and the TIG welding (no more MIG) is impeccable. I'll let other users fill you in on the features, advantages, and benefits, but feel free to contact me directly if you have any other questions. Bob Tunnell bobt@bimmerhaus.com www.BimmerHaus.com
