Any comments or comparisons to PF90/97 or porterfield R4 or R4s? I can't recall ever seeing them discussed on the list before (which maybe answers my question right there). jeff 98 m3/4 - eating up Hawk HP pluses too quickly.

Hook, line, and sinker. : ) I'd really like to run my car against a similarly equipped OBD2 car. I'm a thinkin' I could put a good smack down on some little OBD2 whipper snapper. <G> Rob --------------------------------------- ok Robert, I'm bait :-) (read tongue in cheek from now on)

Anyway, those are the 2 marks you should be referencing. The dipstick probably looks something like this (warning, bad ASCII drawing ahead :-)): _________________ < | | ------------------------------ The oil level should fall somewhere between the 2 vertical (or horizontal, depending on how you hold the dipstick) marks. >Should this be done with car running? I usually try to check it after driving the car, but having the car sit for about 5-10 minutes or first thing in the morning before starting it. >Any images of m3 dipsticks w/ markings to make sure I'm not being a >idiot about this? You know, I would have thought there would be a picture in the Owner's Manual, but nope. Maybe someone has one and can point you to it. Otherwise, I can snap a picture when I get home. Jim Bassett

After-all, GM put a 245-50 tire on a 16x8 rim for several decades in the 3rd and 4th generation F-body platforms. Also, I think that Ford has put 245-45's on a 17x8" rim for nearly a decade in the Mustang as well. Hell, in FS we used to run 255-50's on a 16x8 rim on the F-bodies, though some opted for a 245-45, mainly due to the improvement in gearing - not the better tire to rim fitment. BTDT. It fits without any issues. Though if you go to the Hoosier web site they recommend at least an 8.5" wide rim. > I guess it would be similar to running a 235 on 17x7.5? How 'bout this, you OBD II boys run west over here to sunny 'ol California, and I'll show you what a 95 M3 can do. It's naturally aspirated (so I'm not cheating). It's got the stock factory ECU programming. Heck, it even clears all smog checks ;) Can you boys (and girls) say "274 hp at the rear wheels"? I thought you could... -Alan, happy to open up a can of S50 B32-whoop ass to all you suckas... p.s. don't even bother to show up with at least a PAIR of VANOS. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? My understanding is that they are a racing pad, comparable to Hawk Blues. I'm actually considering trying them on the race car, as supposedly they stop just about as well as the Blues, but are a bit more rotor-friendly and last a bit longer. They are more expensive than the Blues, however. Jim Bassett
