This time I used a spary lubricant for firearms made by Remington called WonderLube, has Teflon and holds up to heat well so maybe it will last more than a year this time. #4. Chip - from Greg Gantt

Date: Sat, 27 Apr 2002 21:20:21 -0400 From: Greg Gantt <ggantt@gantt-consulting.com> Subject: Chip Anyone know where can I get a chip with JC code that's matched for a Euro HFM and 21.5 lb/hr injectors from a 3.2 liter engine? I can't seem to find a chip maker who will support the higher flow injectors that I picked-up. I'm hoping I can make use of the higher flow injectors, however if a chip can't be found I'll have to stick with my stock 17.5 lb/hr injectors. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. #8. Ignition lock cylinder - from Reid Conti
Top
Date: Sat, 27 Apr 2002 22:19:26 -0700 From: Reid Conti <reid@conti.net> Subject: Ignition lock cylinder Well, my lock cylinder went out last night. just free spinning, no resistance at all when I stuck the key in. I lined it up and then it started no prob. It's started the next 5 times without trouble. I was going to take it to a shop to have it replaced, but I read in the archives that it's a $50-$60 part, and super-easy to replace. Any more details on replacement/cost? How do I get the part? Do I buy a generic part with a non-matching key and live with it? Can I swap tumblers from old to new so it uses my old key? Do I order it from BMW based on VIN # and they give me the right cylinder for my key? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.. thanks :) - reid
