So, those that want front only, rear only, or both front and rear (like me) can get the same discount, maybe those ordering all four may get a little more ;-)). The closeout >prices seem good. Not with those exact ones, but I have a DK20 from the past GP put together by Ron & Steve D'G. Very nice jack, built well, easy to use. I've used to lift from the sides & rear subframe on both cars, no problems. Easy to maneuver and the lowering is easily controlled. Comparing the jacks at The Ultimate Garage (http://www.ultimategarage.com/acjacks.html) vs. the ones you listed, the one's at the The Ultimate Garage are lighter, have a higher capacity, and sit lower. My 2 cents, Jim Bassett

#6. Alarmed oil pressure gauge - from Bruce Mitchell

Date: Tue, 07 May 2002 22:55:35 -0500 From: Bruce Mitchell <bruce.mitchell@attbi.com> Subject: Alarmed oil pressure gauge With lots of recent discussion on oil starvation I'd like to share a recent find that I've just installed. It's a digital oil pressure gauge with a built-in 85db audible alarm that is configurable for whatever low and high mark you'd like. It'll work with most senders including the VDO oil pressure sender that comes with the Eastern Motorworks kit. It is slightly larger than the standard VDO gauge but still fits in the Eastern Motorworks faceplate with slight modification. The gauge also has a 5v output in alarm so that you can hook an external idiot light/LED directly to it. More info on the gauge can be found at: http://www.measureanything.com/products/NZ1008/datasheet_NZ1008-OP30_oil_pressure_gauge.asp No financial interest, yadda, yadda, yadda. I think they're around $1000 and there's a core charge for your steering wheel. It's basically a factory wheel that they remanufacture with a thicker foam and leather. Very nice and only a few more $$$ over changing to the factory 3 spoke option. -Bobby ----- Original Message ----- > > I was wondering if anybody had studied the various options > available to those that want to upgrade or simply change their steering > wheel >

Z3 share the same > 3-spoke wheel, can someone else comment on the airbag similarity? You must get the airbag from a 98-99 M Roadster, 99 M Coupe, or late-98/99 M3 coupe or 99-or-earlier Z3. Starting in the fall of 99, the E36 chassis went to the Smart (dual-threshold) airbags which have dual inflators. Thus, you can't use the '00+ MY airbags. Hope this helps. -Alan

Total for the parts alone was over $1000. Enough for me to say 'errrrm that's ok.' <SNIP> It should also be noted that some newer cars have SRS main units that look for certain model airbags in any location. It is possible that the SRS main unit would throw a fault code when using the 3-spoke airbag on a 4-spoke system. Apparently some have made the successful swap on the E36, but this is something to look forward to in the future. I know Honda is doing this with new models, and without the proper coding machines it can create quite a hassle. Prototype development is fun. <BFG> Just food for thought...
