I believe they are frequently used in industrial applications. I have used one of the Eagle lifts a couple of times...it works as intended. My knowledge of lifts is very limited though. Later, Rich

With an Advanced Design Ground Control, I would have expected less roll, regardless how much 'stick' he has in those super wide R-compound Hoosiers. Were his swaybars disconnected?!? ;-) Later, Rich

I don't know of a more recent picture. Jim Bassett

#6. Lifts and hidden costs - from RacerxJLing@aol.com

Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 15:26:59 EDT From: RacerxJLing@aol.com Subject: Lifts and hidden costs I have a midrise lift in my 2 car garage in a CONDO!! I love it. It's already paid for itself w/ the amount of work my bro and I have done w/ it in approx a year. It's made by Benwil and lifts the car a full 48". You have full access to the front of the car for everything from an oil change to sway bars to radiator work etc. You can also remove an exhaust/differential etc. You would be challenged to do a short shifter. So, primarily the middle of the car is inaccessible. I've also performed all kinds of suspension and brake work w/ it. They retail for $2400-$2500 or so (I can get it cheaper tho). But he's right, getting it off the truck is an issue. I actually went to Benwil myself in So. California to pick it up w/ a flat trailer rental for $50. It was easy then to pull it off right into the garage. Jeff > Hi, > > The relative cost of lifts these days is low. The hidden costs and factors > to consider are: > > Will it fit in your garage. Cody McCoy 95 m3/2 w/m contours-thanx 2 Rob Birkhead...no more basket weave, hard to clean, heavy motorsports wheels...which are for sale cheap btw. bmwcca292671 mailto:mccoyc@sbcglobal.net

Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 15:31:38 -0500 From: <mclemens@directvinternet.com> Subject: Badger Bimmer Driving Schools - June, August, October The Badger Bimmer chapter is holding 3 drivers schools this year. Two are one day events held at Blackhawk Farms Raceway near Rockton, Ill. These 2 schools are on Friday, June 7th and Friday, August 2nd. You can get a copy of the application using the following link: http://www.badgerbimmers.org/calendar/Blackhawk_2002/blackhawk_2002.html At the 1 day schools each run group will get four 30 minute sessions. We are currently accepting applications for the schools in June and August. We are also looking for instructors for both of these schools. We will also have a 3 day school at Road America. The dates for this school are October 4th, 5th and 6th. The Friday sessions (on the 4th) are limited to instructors and advanced students. On Friday we typically run 9 40 minute sessions (you can drive everyone of them if you and your car can handle it). On Saturday and Sunday all run groups including instructors will get 4 25 minute sessions. The application for the Road America drivers schools will be posted in the near future. When it is, I will post another notification. If you have question about any of these schools send me an email or give me a call at (262) 641-2620 during week days. Hope to see you at one of our schools.

I'm considering the identical options as Cody (PSS9, Ground Control's 'Track/School coil-over kit' with SA Konis and Eibach springs, Turner's H&R Coil over kit and TC Kline's Trackline setup). Some of these setups are coilovers and others are not, so prices vary a bit. Any feedback on any of the above setups would be appreciated. Thanks. I also won't be looking for quite as much street use from my setup.
