Both will prevent the 1/2-shafts from rotating which puts a torque on the trailing arm preventing it from dropping. -- Ron Katona Jeff Stowe wrote: > I am trying to change the rear spring pads in my 98 M3/4. Even in the winter. I live in Maryland. One other thing...while metallic window tinting will reduce the amount of heat inside the car, it will also work as a good attenuator for those X, K and Ka signals that your Valentine 1 loves to find. -rb >Date: Fri, 07 Jun 2002 10:01:00 -0400 >From: Chris Papademetrious <chrispy@ieee.org> >Subject: Re: [E36M3] Re: AC > >At 01:03 AM 6/7/2002 -0500, Gleb Arshinov wrote: > >Lack of IR filtering glass in M3 makes it feel *a lot* hotter. Their plan seems good, but I would like to hear any positive or negative feedback about them. Also, if there are other companies I should look into, I will. My warranty is due to expire in August, so I am looking around now for an extended. Thanks, Steve 98 M3/4 27,000 miles

#6. Bent Wheel Repair - from Mark Kern

Date: Sat, 8 Jun 2002 13:17:09 -0700 From: "Mark Kern" <markkern@cox.net> Subject: Bent Wheel Repair I picked up a slight vibration in the steering wheel at about 65-70mph. Took it to the dealer who told me that both passenger side Contours were bent! At $500 a pop, I'm not eager to get new wheels. But I'm not sure they can be repaired. Do those wheel-repair centers really work? I had heard that you could never really unbend or repair an alloy wheel. Meanwhile, I swapped the spare wheel with the most badly bent front wheel. Thanks, Mark 99 M3
