I called today and ordered it from Lisle. B/t my $20 impact wrench and this $11 tool, hopefully I'll be successful in my suspension overhaul. Jeff 97 M3/4, out go the H&R c/o's, in go the GC c/o's.

Best price I've found on the 'net is ~$175. I'm in Washington State where (yech) Les Schwab (free beef!) has an exclusive on Toyo tires. #4. Noise after brake swap - from Jeremy Lucas
Top
Date: Thu, 27 Jun 2002 22:11:48 -0400 From: "Jeremy Lucas" <jlucas@columbus.rr.com> Subject: Noise after brake swap Group, Just swapped out the track pads and rotors. New rotors and used street pads went back on, now there is a rhythmic clunking (or knocking) sound when braking, except for really light braking. Pulled everything off and reinstalled --> same noise present. I know one of the inside pads (the one with the 3 prong spring clip) broke off one of the spring clip tabs during reinstall. Only thing I can think of is that this pad is now not secure enough and is rocking back and forth in the carrier under hard braking. Anyone else experience this and determine the cause? Anyone know the price/part numbers for the brackets to mount this part? #10. thanks for advice on Madison - from matthew c. mead

Date: Fri, 28 Jun 2002 08:44:26 -0400 From: "matthew c. mead" <mmead-bmw@goof.com> Subject: thanks for advice on Madison Thanks for all the informative replies regarding the motorsports activities and things in general about Madison, WI! I feel safe I'm going to find some niches to fit into with motorsports. Probably with the summer being so short I'll try to enjoy a lot of other activities and just get into ice racing to keep the motorsports fun going all year round. I'm particularly glad I'll be close to good autocrossing, good track instruction, and good road racing including a reasonably sized SpecMiata field. Thanks again! -matt -- matthew c. mead 97 Dakar M3/4 - sharked, xbraced 97 White GS-R/4 - stock (wife's) 92 Black Miata - dropped, dampened, headed towards SM http://www.goof.com/~mmead/
