I had this done on my Mustang about 3 years ago. I made contact with the Koni NA guy through PPI http://www.mustangparts.com/ but have turned over the contact info to the buyer of my Mustang (remember I wasn't going to do this anymore. Ha, I laugh now). Don't we all wish. >Not a chance, because with the RSM in place you can't compress the shock >enough to engage the internal adjuster dogs. >#¿@*! Konis! I missed the beginning of this thread, so I apologize if I'm OTL here, but... Koni makes two shocks for the rear of the E36 M3: 1) single-adjustable (rebound only) Sports which are collapse-to-adjust only. 2) double-adjustable Sports which feature external adjustments for both bump (near the lower attachment point) and rebound (at the top of the shock accessible by cutting/drilling a flap or hole in the trunk carpet. My bet is that's what Chris was referring to. Singles are about $175/ea and the externally adjustable doubles are $345/ea. Both are currently available through at least two sources I know of. --Bob ************************************************************* List Commands UNSUBSCRIBE - (in subject line) unsubscribes you from the mailing list. My insurance co. is Allstate...Theyre Glass shop in the area is Payless...I was asked do I want the regular glass, or the 'Premium'...Since allstate agreed, I took the Premium...I was told that there are 3 glass suppliers who provide BMW facilities the glass they use...When the glass is going to one of those facilities, it gets the Roundel...When it doesnt, its still available, like to places like Payless, but without the Roundel. I guess as in the case mentioned on the digest, there are receptions, but nevertheless, there's supposed to be no difference in the glass itself. Lets hope so! I guess theres not any easy way to find out though...So if an unscrupulous shop owner wanted to dun the insurance company for Premium glass and install the generic stuff, noone would be the wiser. Pretty Please? Scott, with a big 'ol hunk of boost envy. PS: Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know how I can change the address that I receive my e36m3 mail at? And change it to non-digest while I'm at it? **************************************************** Suzy wrote: From: Sue Kraft <suekraft@new.rr.com> Subject: Re: [E36M3] M5 I would have posted about the M5 sooner, but I was waiting for someone else to ask about it so I wouldn't get in trouble for being off topic :-) The M5 is basically everything I hoped it would be and more. Very nice, super clean and scary fast. Almost too fast, if that's possible. I've only driven it a couple hundred miles so far, but everything is working perfectly, including the turbo. Even at 90 mph, the car will set you back in the seat when you step on the gas. It's unreal. The thing that really surprised me is how nice the car rides with the Dinan stage 4 suspension. I thought it might rattle my teeth loose but that is not the case at all. Proves if you do it right, you don't have to give up a nice ride for better handling. Just got a case of Redline oil a few days ago, so when the car is on the rack for an oil change I'll have a look at the bottom side of the car. It certainly looks good from the top! Suzy

I have full glass coverage, which means that if rocks have marred my vision, then I get it replaced, with non logoed, BMW glass, at my choosing, for free....I know...I was kind of surprised myself. But, now theres no reason to suffer through less than pristine glass anymore. I used Payless Glass here in San jOSe and they charged me $194.00. The windshield does not have a roundel but it does have the proper black paint and little dots around the edges. Of course, I took the car to thunderhill two days after replacing the glass and received a new rock chip while on the track. jeff > > Date: Wed, 10 Jul 2002 13:15:24 -0500 > > From: Neil Maller <neil.maller@gte.net> > > Subject: Re: Windshield replacement > > > > About 8 zillion of you have reported on recent windshield replacements, > and > > not one has revealed the cost. > > > > Do tell... > > > > Neil > > 96 M3 - Very pitted glass > > > > > > > > > >

However, have you tried calling the man (Boyd Butler) himself? (801) 571-6097 and he now has a website http://www.drgas.com/ I have spoken to him myself and he is very personable if a little short on actual commitment (to delivery that is). I'm not a non-believer, but as Dan pointed out, they are hard to come by. It was a one-off deal that Carl Buckland did a while ago with Dr. Gas and BMP Design. Of course, I believe you had to buy it with headers and a supersprint exhaust, but if I didn't have to run a cat and had to opportunity to buy one, I would! I was just poking fun at Rob.. =) Chester --- Mel Silva <melsilva@mindspring.com> wrote: > And for those of you non-believers, don't mock what you don't understand. > ;-P ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
