Hope this helps. steve To: "'Steve Tom'" <stom@qualcomm.com> Subject: RE: [E36M3] Consensus on Toyo T1s Steve - the yellow dot it the light spot of the tire. We assume the valve stem is the heavy spot of the wheel and suggest people match the valve stem (heavy spot of the wheel) to the yellow dot (light spot of the tire). Since the valve stem assumption isn't necessarily correct, when I put new tires on my own car, I mount the bare wheel on the balance machine and find the actual heavy spot, then match it to the yellow spot of the tire. Yellow dots (from what I remember) is the light spot of the tire and usually gets lined up with the valve stem. Red dots also indicate the high spot of the tire and is the point of wear. I don't know if there is a standard amongst manufacturers tho. To do it right have the tires force matched. James and Chris are great guys. You might want to tell them that you know me or Jim El Nabli so they give you the extra special treatment :) As a testament, you can ask Rob Manger how he likes his car after the respray...it looks absolutely gorgeous. Yea, it is from JT Designs and is available from them or ECIS. I don't have the URLs but you should be able to do a search. Costs about $160. They also do work for a local Audi tuner (PES) as well. http://www.cd-autobody.com They're definitely not the cheapest, but out of all the bodyshops I've delt with in the past, they are definitely the most detail oriented. Might there be a metal one in BMWs catalog?? i'm not sure if the part number is right (i might check on it later) but the LTWs came with an aluminum tray, with plastic uprights riveted on, that he might be referring to. the LTW tray is a bit shorter to clear the splitter, as it sits above it towards the front. i don't think this would be a good option on an M3 though, as it's probably not as sturdy as the plastic one even. made to be light. rich 95 M3 95 LTW > From: "JUSTIN GERRY" <JGERRY@butchers.com> > Reply-To: "JUSTIN GERRY" <JGERRY@butchers.com> > Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2002 11:11:50 -0500 > To: E36M3 <e36m3@bmw-m.net> > Subject: [E36M3] E36 Undertray...
