My guess is it will not cover you for liability while racing, but I've not read any policies. -matt -- matthew c. mead 97 Dakar M3/4 - sharked, xbraced 97 White GS-R/4 - stock (wife's) 92 Black Miata - dropped, dampened, headed towards SM http://www.goof.com/~mmead/

Your experience (and the insurance industry) support why I have $1k deductibles, and frankly wouldn't make a claim for any amount below $2k (excluding, of course, a claim against someone else's insurance). Any claim haunts you like a plague (just like speeding tickets), so there's no economic incentive to have a deductible below $1k. Dan

It charges the battery to the proper level, then shuts off. When the battery voltage drops to a certain level, it turns on and charges it back to the proper level. I don't drive my M3 during most of the winter months, so the Battery Tender stays attached and active for long periods of time - 30 to 60 days, at least. It's never caused a problem. I think your radio problem and the battery charging were two independent events. -rb >From: "david tow" <david_tow@hotmail.com> >To: rbuchals@hotmail.com >CC: e36m3@bmw-m.net >Subject: Re: Recharge a battery? >Date: Tue, 10 Sep 2002 09:23:33 -0700 > >Ron, > >You mean you would leave the battery charged for days without diconnecting >anything? > >I charged my wife's 87 Mercedes 300E this way overnight. They are excellent seats, located in the paddock penthouse area (under cover), close to the start-finish line, right above the grid, and across from the pits. They're not the cheap seats, but you get what you pay for, because the view is excellent. I was there in 2000 to watch the race, and the covering kept us dry from the rain. Remember, F1 DOES race in the rain! There is an SAE1.03 correction factor printed on the charts, or am I mistaking this for something else? Do I need to take all the atmospheric conditions printed on the top of the charts through some hairy formula to get corrected horsepower? Also in retrospect, the last couple of times I drove the car, it did not start with the usual zing, but just stumbled a little and started idling normally. Along with this, it developed a 'coming up on the cam' sensation at about 1.5K to 2K rpm...is this the sign of a vacuum leak/dying fuel pressure regulator?
