Bimmer World also uses them in their ITS cars. Work very well with great customer support. I am hoping to attend a Laguna event in November and am worried about the dB limit they have. I have a 95 M3 with AA exhaust and a JC intake. Have any of you had noise limit problems with similar setups? Any suggestions on how to quiet it down if I do run into issues? Thanks, Rob

#4. camber plates - from James Clay

Date: Mon, 23 Sep 2002 19:11:13 -0400 From: "James Clay" <james@bimmerworld.com> Subject: camber plates We sell the Ground Control for race/semi-street cars and 96+ M3 where ride quality is more of an issue. Set your toe at zero and the wear should go away for the most part. I don't like K-Mac because you can't independently adjust camber and toe - makes it rather difficult to keep everything in place if you are adjusting yourself at the track. I have heard >great things about both. Nothing to tip the scales yet. We use the Ground Control in all of our fast ITS cars. I think they are the best out there to meet ITS rules period. We were looking at both the $3k Koni setup and the ADs when we were starting to build E36 ITS cars a few years ago. I forgot what the compelling reason was, but there was a good one to go with AD (not price). Call me if you want to talk in more detail, we have a ton of experience with ITS. If so, why are you touching the springs in the first place? [MEL] To reduce the ridiculous gap that exists between the top of the front tire and bottom of the front fender. It just looks stupid to me (compared to the Euro version). <Alex wrote> Do you have any problems with the tire wear now? [MEL] Yes, the drivers side has much more inside edge wear than the left side. I've known people with just an intake that have gotten the meatball when it's foggy, and others with intake and semi-loud exhaust that haven't when it's clear. I'm actually thinking of putting my stock exhaust back on for that event, just to avoid trouble, but I'm undecided if I want to go through the trouble. You can avoid it by just using a higher gear when going by the sound booth. Anyone actually passed sound at Laguna under any weather circumstances with the UUC exhaust? #10. Suspension goodies on their way... - from DocWyte

Date: Mon, 23 Sep 2002 17:07:46 -0700 (PDT) From: DocWyte <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> Subject: Suspension goodies on their way... Well, I just bought everything I think (I hope!)I need for my little suspension rehab. Picked up a set of the Koni SA front and rear, and got the new TC Kline externally adjustable rears. Going to have to cut a flap in the carpet in the trunk, but I think that's better than having to drop the shock from the car. No way I could do that while in line at the auto-x. I also got the TC Kline rear shock mounts, and the front upper strut mounts from a '97, which I plan on mounting left->right and vice versa. Anyone know how much camber this'll give me ballpark? Also got the Xbrace and UUC TME's... Anything else I should get? I want to R&R everything needed while I have the car up in the air now... -josh ===== Josh Wyte Momentum Motorsports 508-833-3024 After 5 pm EST __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
