Work with Jack as he can handle the transaction for you. You can reach Jack at jack@elephantmotorsports.com These days, Jack is a distributor for a lot of items. Good guy with good pricing. He can get backed up a little at times but a little patience and knowing you are dealing with a reputable guy and club racer (yes, even though it is an E30 M3) makes it worth it. Later, Rich - no affiliation with Jack, just a satisfied customer -------------------- 9 -------------------- Date: Thu, 3 Oct 2002 14:40:00 -0400 From: Rob Verenna <rob@willraceforbeer.com> Subject: Re: [E36M3] Ordering parts and stuff from Demon Tweeks in UK Mike- I haven't ordered directly from them, although Shane K. has and will probably chime in or contact you directly. I ordered through Jack Money at ElephantMotorsports, a fellow club racer and enthusiast - great guy to deal with, even if he does drive an E30 M3. :) Jack was just about the same price (I assume he's set up as a distributor) and I didn't have to deal with any of the issues of the trans-atlantic sale, the stuff just showed up at the shop. It was drop shipped directly from DemonTweeks and I think most/all came USPS, even the seats. Jack also gives a 10% club racer discount. So, given the negligible price difference and for the convenience of dealing with a US business and a fellow club racer to boot, I recommend giving Jack a chance (www.elephantmotorsports.com). - rob

Tend to wear out almost as soon as RSMs, especially with a lot of track miles. Thanks. I have a '97 with 48k miles, no track from me, but judging from the condition of the tires when I bought it, the PO wasn't too easy on the car. I guess I'll check them out. I keep thinking the shocks & struts need help, but people who see me drive can't imagine it. That said, the car doesn't feel as tight as it did when I bought it 20k ago. - John S. ------------------------------------------------ Changed your e-mail? Keep your contacts! You can get them for about $15 each from Zygmunt, and since this is a "set and forget", you will be just that much safer. Just remember to get all the washers back in the right places, and your RSM's should never be a problem :- ) Happy suspending! #10. Another reason why driving in Texas SUCKS! - from Mel Silva
Top
Date: Thu, 3 Oct 2002 18:54:25 -0500 From: "Mel Silva" <melsilva@mindspring.com> Subject: Another reason why driving in Texas SUCKS! Okay, I've calmed down a little, but I was violently angry not 40 minutes ago. I never had this problem in California, even on notorious Hwy 5, with tractor trailers and motorhomes everywhere. But, in Texas I see this all the time and today my number came up. I had to drive from Houston to Austin to do a product demo for a customer. All in all a pleasant drive. I had visited Barnes & Noble last night and picked up an Audio book, the latest and sad to say last offering by Douglas Adams (author of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and many more) on CD. I had been to Austin and done my duty for the powers that be and was enjoying the 4th CD in a 7 CD set I had earlier put into the CD changer while en route home. I was cruising along through the middle of nowhere about 80Mph in the right lane of what had now opened up to a 6 lane divided hwy. I came upon a minivan as I crested one of the rolling hills and had gotten about 20 feet from it when I decided to change into the center lane to overtake. Just as I cleared the minivan I saw the stationary bulk of a truck tire carcass in the center lane. Another car sped by in the left lane and I was already along side the minivan. Microseconds later the tire carcass had ripped out the undertray, brake ducts, fog lights, mesh grill and tore off my pork chops. I had just replaced all of these bits not 6 months ago and this tread cap off a truck tire took them all out. The front of my car is a mess, yet I can't help to think that Chester and David have it much worse. It just annoys me that this didn't have to happen. With all the tire technology available, can't tire manufacturers design a tire that doesn't leave carcasses all over out nations highways for us to have to look at and a select few of us to run over? If you bought the e46 mounts, then you could probably widen them. I have heard that TC's RSM are very harsh for street driving. Mo 98 M3/4 91 325IX. (Ultimate Snow machine)
