#4. Alignment specs? - from DocWyte

Date: Thu, 10 Oct 2002 17:34:36 -0700 (PDT) From: DocWyte <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> Subject: Alignment specs? Well, need to get the M aligned after the suspension work. I went with the '97 front strut bearings swapped side to side. Using the car for aggressive street driving, so I want alignment specs that won't destroy tires completely. Any suggestions? -josh ===== Josh Wyte Momentum Motorsports 508-833-3024 After 5 pm EST __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? #5. S02 tire for the taking - from Todd C. Merrill

Date: Thu, 10 Oct 2002 20:52:52 -0400 (EDT) From: "Todd C. Merrill" <tmerrill@mathworks.com> Subject: S02 tire for the taking 245/40-17 Bridgestone Pole Position, S02 5/32 to 6/32" tread remaining one plug pictures available upon request At the end of 2001, this tire got a nail in it. I had it plugged for street use (iffy at best), but then finally replaced it before my next off-road event. I kept the carcass in case of an emergency, since the S02 stock at the time was dangerously low. I've since got a set of S03's. I was cleaning out the garage tonight....just make it worthwhile for me to slap an address sticker on it and bring it to the nearest UPS depot, and it's yours. Otherwise, it goes to the recycling center on Wednesday morning. Until next time... Todd 1998 BMW M3 coupe BMW CCA member, Boston Chapter ---

#6. How to remove old wax from black side trim?? - from Allen Hyman
Top
Date: Thu, 10 Oct 2002 20:59:12 -0400 From: Allen Hyman <allen.hyman@motorola.com> Subject: How to remove old wax from black side trim?? Help from the board - I had my car waxed about 4 weeks ago (to save time) and I have not been able to remove the excess wax from the grains of the black trim on the side molding of my silver M3. I have seen mention of peanut butter, but I am not sure if this is a joke or not Products like black magic and other 'cover-ups' hide the problem for a short time, but what will actually remove the white wax build and return he trim to its original condition? Thanks in advance Al Hyman 99 Silver M3, intake, Conforti chip fun to drive

I have heard that "Magic Rub" brand erasers work, but for me the best answer was to remove the trim, and strip the trim of all wax and apply "black magic". Made the trim look brand new (again). Every time I'd start the car, it'd come on for about 30 seconds. Bimmerhaus checked the code, which indicated a problem with the driver's seat latch. They reset it the computer, and in the 8 months since then it hasn't come back. They said if it had been the latch, it would have run under $50 for parts and they'd have encouraged me to do it myself. - Alain ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Lucas" <jlucas@columbus.rr.com> To: "Alain van der Heide" <ajvdh1@attbi.com>; "E36M3" <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Sent: Thursday, October 10, 2002 7:09 AM Subject: Re: [E36M3] Intermittent airbag light > Alain, I agree with what you've said but it's my understanding that > will cause the light to come on and stay on.
