Oh, if I want to buy a >"universal" Bosh wiper I can, but I can't buy the refills for that wiper >either. I checked bimmerparts.com and they sell a "universal" bosch wiper >for the E36 M3, but they list the same part number for the left and right >wipers. As any E36 M3 owner knows, the left and right wipers can't >possible be the same part number because they are different lengths. So >are they selling the 21" wipers for both sides and you have cut one wiper >down? Or are they selling you 20" wipers for both sides and now you have >one wiper is one inch short? Then they list the very same part number for >my 2001 M Coupe which has 19" wipers on both side. How can that be? Probably doing the same thing BMW has been doing for a few years - one set of refills (equal length) that require trimming to fit your particular blades. I just bought a set from a local dealer, and the notation on the box indicates they work for just about any recent BMW model. (BTW, I'll be re-installing the stock blades - been using Bosch blades for a while - and forgot, which way does the airfoil on the driver's blade go? Above or below the wiper arm? anyone still got their stock blades installed? :-)) Cheers, Jim Bassett

Its a BMW branded box (I am thinking it is generic size for all modern E36/E46 cars in one size) and you do have to cut the ends off. No big deal though and there is never an issue with availability. -Justin -- '76 02 (Whimsical) '97 M3 (Orion) BMW CCA#77056 check out http://users.vei.net/jgerry

Luckily, German insurance companies recognize foreign insurance histories if you supply enough authentic looking paperwork. I was a little worried my first few months just how long I could continue to drive a 113 hp 318i. Perhaps a U.K. company could be equally reasonable - who knows, you might well have been able to drive that EVOII. -John '96 318is

If you want the Bosch refills and can't find them anywhere else, BMW dealers have them. They don't cost that much. Later, Rich 95 M3 - Bosch wiper blades 90 325is - Bosch wiper blades

Specifically told the guy I needed them by Friday, as I was heading up to Sears Point and Laguna Seca for the weekend... "No problem!" he says. Called right now to find out they won't have them for another week. Sons of.... ARGH!! Two questions for anyone in the nor Cal area. Weather looks like it should be okay and there's no rain in the forecast. How does it actually look, though? Damp mornings? I can probably get by on these IF it doesn't get wet. Second question... I've called everywhere around here (Ventura) and no one can get me a set by tomorrow (even tried Vilven, but it's too late to get out w/UPS). Anyone know of a place between Ventura and San Jose or San Jose and Sanoma that might have 4 new Toyo RA-1s (235/40-17s) ready to sell?? Just buy a refill 2-pack for both the 20" and 21" sizes. << But isnt this what Rex is saying he cant find anymore? I wouldnt know, personally, because about 2 yrs ago, I bought about 3 boxes of 20" refills, and 3 boxes of 21" refills, and I still have 1 or 2 sets left. These are the kind that just 'thread' into the existing blades. Has bosch just stopped making refils? The boxes say: Bosch Microedge Wiperblade Refills.. I can find them, it just takes some work. There's a Pep Boys about an hour away from me that I can usually get them at. The local National Auto never has them, and Walmart used to have them but doesn't anymore. (Personally, I think it's a conspiracy led by Triple-Edge.) The hint about buying two pair was just to help in case he does come across a place that carries them. I hate to admit it in public, but I didn't think about doing it until someone pointed it out to me. :) - Chris
