I ordered (2) 21" and (2) 22" blades and ended up with (8) 21" blades delivered today. They did tell me that I could "probably" return the wrong ones at my local Checker Auto Parts store. I have to get my tie rods red hot for about 5 minutes before they loosen up. I am going to install new ones this month because I'm sick of heating the damn things. Just heat the inside (larger) part of the tie-rod and keep heating it until it breaks free. From the steering rack? That's a biatch! You'll need a thin 32mm wrench. The lock plates are a bit of a pain. The instructions say not to strike it... To take it off, just turn the knuckle until the plate bends. Install a new lock plate and tighten the new knuckle down. Use pliers? NOT! I had to extend the rack a bit and use a hammer and carefully hit it to bang it flat. Chester --- Vern Anderson <vernon_anderson@yahoo.com> wrote: > Chester's right, torch the hell out of it. They are definitely bright and have a distinctive pattern on the road. One of my fellow m3'ers with euro lights and true HID says that when im behind him my lights look convincingly like the real thing. I forget what I paid but I know it wasn't much. I got them from HMS Motorsport in MA. Not sure where else you can get them but get them from HMS, good people to deal with. Alex "HyperM3" Demsky 97 S/C M3 almost 40k on the clock

Not a big improvement but noticeable. Wanna sell me your old ones? ; ^ ) Is Jeff dealing with another product though? What are "Extreme White" bulbs? If they only changed the name of the 9006 Super Whites, then they're just plug and play. Dave Hogg

I tried PIAA's just to get a cleaner, whiter light but it didn't help much. It just looked better than the yellow when you look at the headlights but didn't make much of a difference while driving. The Philips BlueVisions work better than PIAA's and they are cheaper. I had PIAA's in my low beams and Philips in my high beams. When they PIAA's burned out (one side), I replaced both sides with Philips and it was about the same, maybe a little better than PIAA's but much cheaper. Try the Philips BlueVisions. For ~$20/set, you really can't go wrong. I'm sure PIAA has improved the SuperWhites. I just gave up and use the BlueVisions. If you really want to improve your headlights, get the euro ellipsoids. They make a huge difference. -Bobby 98 M3/2 with stock headlights still ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Hogg" <springwood@blazenet.net> > > Hey, Robert, I've had the Super Whites in for a couple of years now and I > like 'em.
