Full blown mountain bike that is comfortable, good looking, and perhaps best of all fits in your E36 M3 trunk without even putting the seats down. 21 speeds, front suspension, yadda yadda ya. It was $995 from BMW and I am selling it for $500 brand new and if I have to ship the seller pays shipping. It's silver and these pics show it pretty well although in person it looks a little beefier. I would prefer a Boston area buyer but really just need to get it out of the closet. http://home.attbi.com/~dspragg/BMWMTB/open.jpg http://home.attbi.com/~dspragg/BMWMTB/folded.jpg Dave Spragg dave@spragg.com Natick, MA 99 M3 Garage Queen (for sale) 92 330is Sharked, #330 I Prepared ____________________________________________________________________ eMail Privacy Protected by QuarantineMail (http://www.quarantinemail.com) Licensed to: dspragg@attbi.com

#3. Another Klunk Query - from Steve Klein
Top
Date: Fri, 15 Nov 2002 12:35:34 -0600 From: Steve Klein <klein@robinsonad.com> Subject: Another Klunk Query Hello again, All- I'm looking for another klunking noise culprit, this time caused by unloading the drivetrain quickly while decelerating at low speed. i.e. car in 2nd gear (clutch engaged) approaching an intersection with the intent of accelerating, someone stops in front or the light changes, foot off the gas (car now 'engine breaking') and quickly disengaging the clutch. The release of torque makes it sound as though something in the driveline is weakened/loose. I'm planning on installing the UUC tranny mounts/enforcers shortly, but suspecting other things like the guibo (still don't know how to pronounce that thing aside from 'flex disc') or possibly an engine mount. All thoughts and Ideas are greatly appreciated, Steve

My car has JTD tranny rings and the guibo and engine mounts look ok. I did a lot of searching on the net and the best I could come up with is a worn throwout bearing. I plan on putting in a lightweight flywheel and a new bearing to see if that makes the noise go away. If you figure anything out please post it. #9. Need Help. Car will not idle. - from Brad Ahrens
Top
Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2002 12:38:07 -0800 (PST) From: Brad Ahrens <txsaggie97@yahoo.com> Subject: Need Help. Car will not idle. Went out today and pulled the car out of the garage. Everything fine. Loaded up some boxes to recycle and went to start it up. Starts fine but immediately dies. If I get on the gas it will stay running and run fine although I may have sensed a miss when I rev'ed it. Take your foot off the gas and it immediately dies - not sputtering just done. Turning they key to the #2 position (just before ignition) I get a whir sound from the engine bay. Appears to originate from the lower drivers side near the back of the engine bay. No symptoms prior to this. Fuel pump dying? Any ideas? #10. FS: E36 M3 Koni Single Adjustable Suspension - from Dave Kelley

Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2002 20:59:40 -0500 From: "Dave Kelley" <d.kelley@usa.net> Subject: FS: E36 M3 Koni Single Adjustable Suspension My email crashed and I lost all the correspondence I've had with people about my suspension. So if you are interested, please contact me. I will take the best offer that I get by next weekend. E36 M3 Koni Single Adjustable Suspension I just upgraded my E36 M3 stock suspension with new Koni single adjustable front struts and rear shocks this year. But, my M3 is turning into a track car so now I am selling these almost new Koni's along with the stock springs. These are still almost new! The front struts have only about 5,000 miles on them and the rears, only about half of that. Here is what you get. I will consider selling the fronts without the rears if you are interested. But not the rears without the fronts. Front Struts & Springs: The front strut assemblies include Koni Single Adjustable strut cartridges installed in 1998 model year M3 strut housings, complete with stock springs. The struts have about 5,000 miles on them and the springs have about 67,000 miles on them. When you buy these complete assemblies, you do not have to cut up your original equipment strut housings to install the Koni cartridges yourself. Just pull your original struts and install the new ones. This is an easy do it yourself job. This saves you a lot of time and money as dis-assembling the original struts, cutting up the housings, and installing the new Koni strut cartridges can be quite expensive and time consuming. Plus, you still have your original struts that you can sell. Market price for M3 strut housings is $100-$150. Price: $500 OBO Rear Shocks & Springs: The rear shocks are Koni Single adjustables with only about 2,500 miles on them. The springs are stock from a 98 M3 with 67,000 miles. These shocks are available with Ground Control Rear Shock Mounts for an additional $75. Price: $240 OBO + $75 for RSM's _______________ Dave Kelley d.kelley@usa.net Wireless: 803-606-9882 Home: 803-749-6754 Work: 803-407-1018 Fax: 803-407-0466
