It is my understanding that you can't attach the cage to the suspension pickup points nor can you stitch weld the chassis in either of these classes. And in both you have to use the full interior in the car with the exception of the driver's inside door panel if the use of Nascar bars requires trimming it. But I don't think this car could be used at all in a stock class. The only thing I see it could be used as is a Speed World Challenge car or BMWCCA BMod car. And it will take a lot more power to make it competitive in either. The cage alone prevents it from being used in any stock class. No cage beyond the firewall for stock classes. As to the motor being built further, look at about 10k to get it at the entry level in Bmod, then you would still be down about 50hp compared to the big dogs. Their ad is very misleading, check the club racing website, the rules are there and you will see that it doesnt come close to meeting them. Or SCCA for that matter Mike still a nice car though ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Kelley" <d.kelley@usa.net> To: "E36M3" <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Sent: Thursday, December 05, 2002 4:05 PM Subject: Re: [E36M3] FS: '99 M3 as a race car or chassis/motor package > Date: Thu, 5 Dec 2002 16:03:27 -0500 > From: "Dave Kelley" <d.kelley@usa.net> > Subject: Re: [E36M3] FS: '99 M3 as a race car or chassis/motor package > > Mike, > This is from their specs on the car, so not necessarily BMod. Date: Thu, 5 Dec 2002 18:26:00 -0500 From: "Wesley A. Nicolas" <wes@nicolas.org> Subject: Low pitched grinding noise = ?????? Hey all - Just got off of a 1400 mile trip. In the last 100 miles I heard a low pitched grinding noise coming from the side (not sure if front or back). My first thought was a wheel bearing but moving from side to side didn't get rid of it. The noise did change with speed and had no direct relation with engine RPM's. Car is a 1995 M3 with 125,000 miles. My thought were: -Wheel bearing -Driveshaft center bearing? Any thoughts? Wes

Anyone have the part numbers for the 96 up hats/and or the 95's? I have a set with the last 2 digits being 30, and want to know which type they are. Thanks! Chris 97 M3/4
