Date: Sat, 28 Dec 2002 09:18:12 -0800 From: The Buch <the_buch@telus.net> Subject: Fitting the 'plug and play' Angel Eyes I am advised that the Angel Eyes setups typically available (UUC, Turner, etc.) are basically plug and play?? Anyone have any experience with this feature?? I am also told that despite the bulkier Euro casing and lens, they will fit with my existing JC intake and heat shield?? Anyone have any experience wiring these into a Canadian car which by law has the inside lights on a lower setting at all times (these go out in favour of the regular outside lights when the headlights are turned on)?? Thanks and Happy New Year!!, Doug

I have the ZKW euro lights with the JC intake and they fit fine. Hand gets a little oily changing bulbs on the driver's side but that's about it. I wired the city lights to a fuse that has power whenever the car is running so they act like the daytime running lights in the high beam but stay on in my case when I turn on the lights. May confuse the occasional oncoming car but otherwise works fine. I heard Josh at Eurosport did a bunch of the high temp wiring a while back, but I don't know if he still does that. www.eurosporthighperformance.com Jeremy Lucas 95 M3 ----- Original Message ----- From: "DocWyte" <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> > Can you run 80/100, 100 watt bulbs in our cars without > having to install a relay harness? > > -josh

Its a 1 owner car thats always been in south Georgia driven more than 120 miles/day. When I brought it last year, it had 143K. It now has 153K and dynoed @ 217 rwhp. Not bad for a completely stock motor. I now have a euro HFM (whats the new relocation place for the charcoal canister?) and the JC chip for euro HFM and LTW flywheel. This car was the first car in the southeast to have a tranny downshift blowup on 11/94!!! The BMW regional rep. refused the warranty due to "owner Mis-shift" $11K!!!! He had to wait a month for the engine to come from Germany and another month for the install. The car also had a new tranny installed by BMW, something about bad internal syncros.(BMW paid $3600) LAst biggie was a flooded DME when the owner drove the car thru a car wash.($1400) The p.o. wasn't all too car savy, just had lots of money and did everything the dealer told him it needed. My set came with the upgraded wiring connectors, basically electric stove wiring, to prevent wiring damage from the heat. They were the Eurosport package, I think $40 for the high temp. wiring package if I remember. Relays are fine. I ran mine fine with the 7.5A fuses without blowing anything. Went way out of my way to get Hella bulbs (which I have since heard are crap in the 100W range). But anyway, the lights were dimmer than they were with 55's.
