You drive over a small ramp as the cables run on the floor instead of overhead. It's good for 9k lbs. My only bitch is that it doesn't go as low as I'd like and I have to jack the M3 up a bit to get the arms under it. It is nicely made and meets the industry specs. Not all lifts test to those specs. My speedo situation happened to my then 6-month old Z3 with less than 5,000 miles. The car has run, trouble-free, another 15,000+ miles over 4+ years, and the differential fluid has only just been changed for the first time (and there were no large nasty pieces of anything that came out with the oil). Run #1: temp 67.9 F, baro 29.34 in Hg, correction factor 1.00, peak HP 214.34, peak torque 206.95 Run #2: temp 69.08, baro 29.33, correction factor 0.99, peak HP 215.35, peak torque 208.89 Run #3: temp 70.55, baro 29.35, correction factor 0.99, peak HP 223.44, peak torque 210.41 Correction factor is SAE. I was the first car run in the morning. Driveline may have cooled off a bit before getting on the dyno leading to slightly lower numbers on the first 2 runs. A/F ratios on all runs started out from 14.5 to 15.5 at 2500 rpms and ended up right around 13.5 at 6200. Seems like they are a bit on the lean side? I have been wondering if the O2 sensor needs to be replaced as the car has 60k miles and has a sulphur smell when I get out of the car at times. Thanks, Bruce 95 M3 89 M3 2.5

There was just enough material left for me to be able to get my new mounts on but when those need to be replaced I'm going to be up the creek. Anybody have tips for the next time I need to R&R the shock mount with that stripped hex key to deal with? Jeremy Lucas 95 M3

The nut comes of fine for me with a breaker bar. Sometimes you have to hit it fast so the shock doesn't turn, but it does come off. Of course, air tools would be perfect for this also. In these cases where you have to remove the center nut, you can wrap the shaft in something grippy like an old cut bicycle tire or inner tube and mount the shaft onto a bench vise. Then have your way with the nut.
