Does anyone have one laying around that they would be willing to sell for a fair price? Thanks. Geof

My new trunk floor doesn't have a few posts needed to button everything back up. The one post that is a bit critical is the one that holds the rear bumper to the trunk floor. Anyone know how high from the bottom of the floor the post sits? TIA, Chester =====

#4. Allstate policy changes - Ohio - from Jeremy Lucas
Top
Date: Mon, 30 Dec 2002 16:58:34 -0500 From: "Jeremy Lucas" <jlucas@columbus.rr.com> Subject: Allstate policy changes - Ohio Just got my Allstate Ohio renewal policies and there are several new additions this year including, see quotes below: 1) No coverage for damage (auto or personal) "arising out of the participation in any prearranged, organized, or spontaneous: a) racing contest, b) speed contest, c) use of an auto at a track or course designed or used for racing or high performance driving, or in practice or preparation for any contest or use of this type" (item c is new for 2003) 2) No coverage for "loss to any custom parts or equipment designed for racing which is installed in or upon your insured auto. This includes, but is not limited to, nitrous oxide systems, roll cages, and air intake modifications." 3) "The maximum Allstate will pay for a covered loss to any custom parts or equipment is $1000". They define custom as anything not installed by the manufacturer or the dealer at the time of original sale. So in short, NEW FOR 2003: no track day coverage, no coverage for all the performance parts many of you like myself have installed , and no coverage past $1000 total for your wheels, wings, etc.... Check your renewals carefully. This is the last straw from Allstate for me. Between this and deciding to triple my motorcycle premiums (no claims, no tickets), I'm moving on. Jeremy Lucas 95 M3 - about to have new Insurance carrier.

#8. Flag Pictures - from Peter Guagenti
Top
Date: Mon, 30 Dec 2002 14:38:53 -0800 From: Peter Guagenti <peter@guagenti.com> Subject: Flag Pictures I got a new digital camera for Christmas from the wife, so I figured I'd play with it a bit. Some folks on the list asked for pictures of the LTW-style flag decals I did on my Cosmos Black '95, so I took a few for you to peek at: View from the front: http://www.guagenti.com/M3/Flags-Front.jpg View from the side: http://www.guagenti.com/M3/Flags-Side.jpg View of the rear: http://www.guagenti.com/M3/Flags-Rear.jpg I also took a couple of other pictures of the car to show off some of the other things I had done. After breaking about a million fog lights, I replaced the lights with intakes. Also, during the rains last winter a pickup dropped a piece of wood that went through my lower grille. I replaced it with wire mesh. You can see them in this shot: http://www.guagenti.com/M3/M3_Front.jpg (that's the wife's 328i in the background) Here's a shot of the UUC big brake kit behind my SSR Competitions. Yet another fun addition to the car: http://www.guagenti.com/M3/M3_Side.jpg Just to make everyone in the east feel jealous; these photos were taken yesterday after detailing my car. I washed the car in a t-shirt and jeans, while I chatted ont he phone with a buddy prepping for a Laguna Seca event today. :-P -peterg

#10. Check Engine Fault Code #238 - from The Buch
Top
Date: Mon, 30 Dec 2002 17:05:27 -0800 From: The Buch <the_buch@telus.net> Subject: Check Engine Fault Code #238 I threw this code which is for 'Mifire of Cylinder #1' after the car sat outside for a couple of weeks without running in cold damp weather. I think I will just cancel it and hope for the best now that the car is going to get regular use and be garaged properly. Any advice as to whether this is indicative of a developing problem appreciated. Car is '99 with 65,000mi. and is running original coils. Thanks, Doug
