I too wanted a little more negative camber, but did not want to eat through my street tires. Jay from GC told me about the 95 Hats. He said that the front suspension geometry on the 95's is different than the 96+. By using the 95 hats, you do indeed get the negative 2 to 2.5 degrees. I had this verified by my alignment shop. From what Jay said, if you swap the hats L <->R you will get Negative 3 degrees or so.. From what I have been told is too much for a street car. I really don't want to think about how much I paid for it all. I don't have the original bill of sale listing all of the part numbers but everything I bought is there and in brand-new unmolested condition. I recall that some fiddling is required to mount the cooler radiator below the coolant radiator and hole must also be drilled and tapped for the VANOS oil supply to make this work on US e36 cars. It's expensive at $200 or so for the parts, and requires complete removal and disassembly of the struts. In addition you'll reduce caster, which is what provides steering feel. For the same work but zero parts cost you can swap your existing hats to get somewhere in the 2+ degrees range (depending on amount of lowering) negative camber. And this doesn't affect your caster. Or for $10 in bolts and washers plus trivial installation you can install camber shims and get whatever amount you want, also without screwing up caster. Neil 96 M3 - Swapped hats

I assumed that when I bought the height adjustable wing from racepad that it was a carbon copy of the OE Lightweight Wing, no. The racepad risers do not have the indentations that would allow the use of shorter bolts between the trunk lid and the riser and the riser to the wing itself. A long bolt must be used between the trunk lid to the wing. Why tamper with BMW's design? Furthermore, the body shop that painted my wing lost the bolts. When asked, racepad could not supply or even tell me what are the replacement sizes. Disappointed. If you have a factory alarm, the switch is along the passenger fender towards the front. This switch has a chrome plated spring steel lever which pushes a pin switch down when the hood is closed. There is a barrel shaped black plastic thing which screws into the hood insulation. This barrel shaped thing presses the steel lever into the pin switch to signal the alarm whether the hood is opened or closed. Had work done on my car and this is now missing. Need P/N of this plastic barrel shaped thing to tell the shop to order. Thanks.. This includes, but is not limited to, nitrous oxide systems, roll cages, and air intake modifications." 3) "The maximum Allstate will pay for a covered loss to any custom parts or equipment is $1000". They define custom as anything not installed by the manufacturer or the dealer at the time of original sale. So in short, NEW FOR 2003: no track day coverage, no coverage for all the performance parts many of you like myself have installed , and no coverage past $1000 total for your wheels, wings, etc.... Check your renewals carefully. This is the last straw from Allstate for me. Between this and deciding to triple my motorcycle premiums (no claims, no tickets), I'm moving on. In the past in one of my previous M3s I had ran camber shims (Korman) and had problems with tire clearance (hence spacers). With the dicussion on the list, I am inclined to use the 95 hats. One concern. After installing the hats, I am assuming I will gain -1 degree more than stock (currently -.9 and -1). I will adjust the toe on the rack once I install the hats. When swapping the hats 120 degrees back and forth between street and track, does is really mess up the toe? (Altough toe is set static when the hat is installed). In a nut shell, when adding camber, one gets toed out. Since I will be brining it back to stock hat setting after the track and can use the extra bit of toe out. But I care about how much since I dont want to burn out my front tires after a few laps. What is your experience on this? Secondly, would the toe be static when roated back from 120 to normal setting? I dont want toe changes and worry about tire wear or mis alignment. Keep the hats on the same side, just unbolt, jack car up and rotate, then lower the car back down. If you stand over a 95 and just look at the hats, you will see how the offset hole will move the tops in towards the engine resulting in increased camber etc. On my car, rotating the hats gave me -3.2,using H&R over the counter 'race'springs with H&R sports, I think I had about -2.8 Rotating is an easy way to adjust the car for the track, then turn back for normal driving. It will reduce the caster from -8 to -4 when rotated, but for tracking driving, a very nil effect, if noticed at all. They run over $270.00 if you can find them. These are not easy to copy as they are a two piece molded and fused part with a metal bracket set inside. The largest I've found is 1 1/8 inch, which is slighly larger than the 1 inch (25.4mm) unit on the E36 M3. Are all MC's a standard fitting, or would fitting a Tilton master be a custom job?
