Perhaps it is a misprint, but he showed me the part on the computer screen and it was the correct part. How he checked for price is beyond me. I finally just went to my favorite hardware store and they had nearly the right sized stud. I'll have to trim a few mm off, but it won't be a big deal. I've mentioned in the archives that I have a '98-vintage Optima battery (the first model, red top, top and side posts (I think)) in my Lightweight. I had to made a paddle-shaped adapter in aluminum to mount it, and it sits too tall (because it's on the adapter) for the plastic cover to fit ... BUT, i just bought a top-terminals-only one last month (Orange top), and I noticed that they've added hold-down tabs to the bottom edges of the battery. This ** might ** mean that an Orange-top Optima could be held in place in the M3 using the existing clamps that hold the OEM battery -- I should know by the end of the week if I can swap out my red Optima+adapter combo for an orange Optima. However, I can't seem to find the link in my old e-mail or by searching: http://www.bmw-m.net -- Rex Tener rex_tener@yahoo.com

You could swing a 925MJT which has a little less reserve power but is lighter (at 24 lbs.). This battery is comporable to the Optima batteries, but easier to install. The "M" in the MJT means it has a metal jacket. I just screwed in the metal jacket to the chasses and slid the battery into it. Good luck! #9. FT/FS: Delrin Offset Front LCA bushings - from Scott Yu

Date: Mon, 6 Jan 2003 11:16:51 -0800 (PST) From: Scott Yu <segascott@yahoo.com> Subject: FT/FS: Delrin Offset Front LCA bushings For trade/sell: Delrin front LCA bushings Hi folks, I've got a set of brand new offset delrin front lower control arm bushings for sale or trade. Ideally I'd like to trade these for a set of brand-new '95 M3 lower control arm bushings. Otherwise, I'll sell them for whatever the price is for new front '95 M3 LCA's from a good vendor. This would be an ideal upgrade for the track dawg who wants that extra bit of precision and doesn't mind a slightly stiffer ride. Works just fine for '95 M3's, and will give you some more adjustment possibilities on '96+ (they're offset, so you can rotate them to gain more camber, less caster, etc). These were purchased from turner, you can see the link below: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/index.asp?content=detail.asp?product_id=31129061222D My reason for wanting to go back to a rubber bushing? I want to make my ride a bit softer and more comfy. Back when I had the free time for track events, I bought these babies and had planned to install them for a totally locked-down track ride. Now I'm headed for comfy commuting, at least until the current project is up. Items located in the Bay Area, CA. scott yu '97 M3 __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
