They are a very well-made rotor, good metallurgy, chamfered holes. However, under almost any application most of us see, these are not a performance upgrade! I usually tell people when they order and suggest the cheaper OEM parts. Holes close to the edge isn't an issue. The Mazdas we race against in World Challenge have holes ON the edge of the rear rotors, I assume they have a huge number of holes to reduce surface area on the rear brakes. There are also some wave rotors on the market now (I don't know about that one). They don't have to be round. #6. More insurance - from Raginglennie@aol.com

Date: Mon, 6 Jan 2003 20:39:07 EST From: Raginglennie@aol.com Subject: More insurance For us driving school junkies, how much is additional insurance coverage for a weekend driving school? My American Family agent tells me I'm covered at a driving school, but I have a feeling more & more insurance companies are going to add language to their policies to eliminate driving school coverage. This addiction could get prohibitively expensive in short order...... Oh well, maybe it's time to quit driving schools, buy a 315 hp M Roadster (I'm sorry, but the Z4 is homely) & move south. I heard a lot about the Synchromax for the manual transmission, but I don't recall reading anything about the Max Gear differential oil. I am ready to order some Synchromax and I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on the Max Gear oil. How does it stack up to the Readline 75w90 oil? Thanks, Johnny 1998 M3/4 53K daily driver

They use the term CONTEST, which a DE is not and can be easily proven otherwise. Regardless of how they look at a DE, it doenst fit anything in that paragraph, even if the location is a race track. Which could be defined as a controlled learning area. I think I would take it to court to the last penny I had if they refused. Parsed, this reads as: _______________________________________________________________________________ the policy does not provide coverage for bodily injury or property damage arising out of: the participation in any prearranged, organized, or spontaneous racing or speed contest; when using the insured vehicle at a track or course designed for racing or high performance driving; or in practice or preparation for any contest or use of this type. _______________________________________________________________________________ The 'or' in the last line is what seals it. If ANY ONE of those three things is true, the first sentence is effective and coverage is denied. You balk at the word contest, but the second line doesn't mention contest at all, and that is the one that rules out DE events entirely for this policy.
