I'm sure this has been discussed before but I wasn't in the market then so I'll ask now. What is the best bet for a reasonably priced one-person brake bleeder device that will work with multiple car brands? Are suction type or pressure type better? Do any of them work worth a crap? Thanks. Chuck Hanson '97 M3/4 '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee '99 Specialized Rock Hopper '85 Mercedes 300 TDT (for sale)

There would be no benefit to having both. Jeremy 95 M3 ----- Original Message ----- From: <ChuckBrazeau@aol.com> > You would need to put the Z3 plate on FIRST, then the GC half-ring on top of the Z3 plate. Otherwise you would defeat the purpose of adding the Z3 plates. I don't have GC RSMs, so i don't know if the studs on the half-ring are long enough to accommodate the thickness of the Z3 plates, but they're not very thick, so i imagine that it wouldn't be an issue. > > > Is it possible to use these 2 parts together? I have not seen the Z3 plates in person (only ETK). My GC

#5. Bent Front rim--- NJ potholes! - from Mo Karamat

Date: Tue, 14 Jan 2003 22:46:47 -0500 From: Mo Karamat <karamatm@optonline.net> Subject: Bent Front rim--- NJ potholes! Dear All, Hello.. I had the e36 out today, and clipped one of our amazing N.J potholes... To make a long story short, the fr. passenger side rim is bent. I had my ATP M contour type rims (type 7 I believe) on the car. These are the rims/tires that I use for auto-x and Drivers schools. Here are what I see as options.. 1. Have the rim "unbent" by one of those restoration places. Any feedback on this? Any issues with using a repaired rim on the track? 2. Since the rim is a 7.5", this may be a good opportunity to replace both front rims with 8.5" If I decide to go this route.. 1. Are there any rubbing issues with 8.5" in front. (I believe that Wayne once told me that the only reason to run spacers in front was if you had the BIG brake kit installed?) 2. I am running Yoko AVS intermediates on the rims right now. 235 40 17" all around. By going to 8.5" rims in the front, will I notice any kind of difference? Basically is this worth doing? Also, if anyone has 2 8.5" M contours (or ATP type 7's) that they want to sell, please let me know. Since the rims will essentially only be used for DE's and auto-x, I an not really concerned about their condition.. (As long as they are straight :) , and will balance) Thanks for the input Mo

Do yourself a favor and get OE 8.5" forged wheels all around ;) You'll love yourself in the morning....hahahahahaha! The only reason Wayne had the spacers was to accomodate the brake calipers. You'll have no problems with 8.5 stock offset up front. In fact, I have a set of 8.5ers with new 235/40 S03s waiting in the garage...right above my IFG track wheels....next to the replacement Movit brake rotors....lemme not forget to lock the garage door...LOL! For those sneaky bastards...I live in Kansas...yeah...Kansas. --- Mo Karamat <karamatm@optonline.net> wrote: > Hello.. I had the e36 out today, and clipped one of our amazing N.J > potholes... I would like to remove the following emails as I sold my m3 a few weeks ago. sma280@att.net and/or gsa@arpinintl.com. I traded the car at a dealer called Inskip in Rhode Island and left one of the forum decals on.... if anyone hears from someone who possibly got the car I would be happy to share some of the records and stuff that I did not give to the dealer. It is an estoril blue 96 m3 with lux package and modena leather inside. Thanks again, Mark Greene

#9. Status of Fluidyne development for e36 - from The Buch
Top
Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2003 07:18:03 -0800 From: The Buch <the_buch@telus.net> Subject: Status of Fluidyne development for e36 The following is a direct quote fyi ... "We are in the final fitment stages of this design, with plans to begin production by mid to late February. This will be a direct fit performance unit. The radiator is designed to fit the stock mounting points and fan shrouds, but please remember that this is a performance upgrade and not an OEM-spec radiator. The core will be thicker and there may be some slight differences that do not affect the mounting of the radiator. FLUIDYNE provides only the radiator, and any fittings, hoses, clips, etc. should be retained from the original radiator or purchase them through your local parts supplier." Regards, Doug

The new March issue of European Car Magazine that I just received says in their "Project M3" column, that they actually installed a Fluidyne radiator and that they were available!!!!! Do you think Fluidyne worked out a little promotional deal with ECM to say they were available when they really were only in some sort of prototype stage?
