What exactly do they mean when they say "but please remember that this is a performance upgrade and not an OEM-spec radiator." Is there some type of pitfall or negative to a "performance radiator". Does anyone know? James? Regards, Rich

Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2003 09:45:33 -0800 From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: Aiming Ellipsoids? I tried searching the archives, but most of the "aiming" posts I found were actually for AOL AIM or aiming stock headlights. Does anyone have instructions for aiming the European ellipsoids. Mine should be arriving soon and I'm not sure if they'll come with aiming instructions... Anyone have them handy, just in case? I have been thinking about the Cam kit which has it's own intake. I'm not sure if the cam kit has different programming but the kit does include an injector. Anyone want to buy my intake/injector? -- =========================== georgercarrjr@earthlink.net

There are two aiming screws, you can see them when looking down at the headlites with the hood open. The inner screw controls the vertical adjustment of the lights. I went to a garage and used their light board. Then I drove the next night and noticed I was lighting up the backs of peoples heads in front of me. So I brought the headlites down some, so I'm pretty much aimed square at the license plate of the car ahead of me. This gives a nice beam dispersal in front of me, yet doesn't blind oncoming traffic. I'm still trying to figure out what the outer screw controls, as when I turn it, nothing happens to either the low beam or high beams. Can anyone tell me how to adjust these horizontally? I need to bring my passenger side headlite pattern more towards the midline of the car. I'm lighting up lotsa bushes on the edge of the road... -josh --- twisty M3 <twistym3@hotmail.com> wrote: > Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2003 09:45:33 -0800 > From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> > Subject: Aiming Ellipsoids? > > I tried searching the archives, but most of the > "aiming" posts I found were > actually for AOL AIM or aiming stock headlights. > Does anyone have > instructions for aiming the European ellipsoids. > Mine should be arriving > soon and I'm not sure if they'll come with aiming > instructions... Jim, Maybe I'm dense or something, but I read the aiming description on the link on your site and my response is "Wha?? Uh...um..." What is that guy trying to describe? I can't envision what he's talking about at all... All I need to know is what knobs control vertical and horizontal movement of the headlites. Targetting and blocking beam patterns I'm more than happy to leave to the techno nerds.
