I'm not talking paperweights like 30MB full height 5.25" drives ;) Something like old PIII motherboards, etc. Wanted to slap some stuff together and give to some people in need around here. On a side note, I was cleaning out some old stuff and couldn't believe some of the crap that I've been saving. One notable was a US Robotics 14.4 modem! Man, that thing screams (as it flew out the window and crashed to the pavement..hehe). E-mail me privately at chester_p_wong@yahoo.com . Thanks, Chester =====

#2. Update on my M - from DocWyte

Date: Mon, 3 Feb 2003 17:29:31 -0800 (PST) From: DocWyte <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> Subject: Update on my M Well, After waiting 3.5 hours for AAA to bring a flatbed to tow my car (luckily I was at work and not on the side of the road!) I got the car to the dealer. They rapidly diagnosed a misfire on cylinder #1 and replaced the coil pack. Then it's bretheren in cylinders #2-6 said "All for one and one for all!" and promptly bit the dust. Now the car is misfiring on cylinders 2-6. The dealer is going to get authorization from my warranty co to replace the other 5 coil packs and we'll see what happens. Kinda odd for all the other coil packs to go, don't you think? Speculate please. All I can say is the warranty company must be pretty bummed about writing this policy! -josh ===== Josh Wyte Momentum Motorsports 508-833-3024 After 5 pm EST __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? #7. Clutch & flywheel... - from RFKoby@aol.com
Top
Date: Mon, 3 Feb 2003 22:47:14 EST From: RFKoby@aol.com Subject: Clutch & flywheel... I am in the garage tonight doing my clutch job. Everything is going fairly well, and I got the transmission off.... Now I notice a possible problem. I remember someone else previously asked about how much "flex" is allowed in the dual mass flywheel. With moderate pressure, by hand, I can move the outer mass about 1" of rotation relative to the ring gear. Is this normal....??? Or is the flywheel failing, or failed...... please reply private... thx bob

That's not the first time an employee of the HMC has said that. That's enough of that, I did a good job there, and there's more to the backstory than meets the eye. I'll tell you privately sometime.
