Mr. CEO then asks Mr. VP if he can explain how = his ticket numbers ended up on several forged tickets causing the = expulsion of several people from the VIP tent at the Augusta National = Golf Club and has also now resulted in a police investigation. There = was a long silence at the other end of the phone and no comment forth = coming. Mr. CEO then says, "I'll expect your resignation by the end of = the day." =20 This is not fiction. How do they do with stock rear brakes? Any other insights you want to add? Reply either on the digest, and we can another rousing debate, or privately? Thanks folks, this digest has been great support. Respectfully, Andrew Joseph

I was finally able to get them to step up and replace it for me, under my CPO warranty. Apparently, the transmission was replaced once already - before I bought the car (in 2001). I did not know this when I purchased the car. I've heard rumours about the 98/99 transmissions being different than 97 and before. Can anyone confirm/discuss this? I know my buddy Alex's 97 has a sticker that says "ATF ONLY", while mine (a 99) said "MTL-LT1 lifetime transmission oil" (not sure what the new one says). Seems I am hearing more and more about 98/99's getting new trannies for the 5th gear stick issue, and the "trouble engaging first while the gearbox is cold" issues. Chris

Does anyone have the technical details on this. - does it work? - do I need to realign the suspension before/after? - do I need a longer bolt (that carries the washer)? - how much washer space do people use? My apologies is this subject has been covered recently. I've looked through some archives and was unable to find any such information. thanks in advance, Dave 95 M3 p.s. Some of you may remember the pictures I posted of my totally chewed up LF wheel from Grattan last fall....

I used stock bolt. 4) I used one washer, about 0.1" thick, at each lower mounting point and gained ~1 degree negative per side. 5) Be caeful of clearance between top of wheel/tire and strut. Date: Mon, 10 Feb 2003 10:38:40 -0500 From: <cteague@cox.net> Subject: Re: [E36M3] Change in Front Camber Dave, It works fine. The stock bolt is M12x20 IIRC. So it's not all that long to start with. I went with M12x25 for the comfort factor. A rough number is 0.040" is about 0.5 degree camber. I have some 0.028 Mil spec washers, and some 0.010 shock shims to even things out. Adding washers will change the toe, so yes to alignment. I wouldn't feel comfortable about going with more than 0.1" thick in a washer, but some people probably have. You do need to watch out for the tire clearance at the top though. Date: Mon, 10 Feb 2003 11:04:28 -0600 From: alex.fadeev@verizon.com Subject: [LSCchat] 2003 LSC BMW CCA DE at MotorSport Ranch March 8/9 (forwarded message) It's time once again for the annual Lone Star Chapter BMW CCA Driver's Education weekend! This year we will be hosting the event March 8/9. We decided to host the event a little earlier this year to avoid the intense heat of last years event. The DE will once again be held at MotorSport Ranch in Cresson TX. The basic DE format will be carried over from last year. Four 25 minute run sessions per day and a catered dinner Saturday night. This year we will have entirely brand new t-shirts as well (I promise!!). The cost for everything has remained the same with the exception of a $5 increase for the event. This is to cover the insurance increase of 15%. To sign up simply go to our website and hit the MOTORSPORTS button. Please follow the directions from there. http:///www.lscbmwcca.org So I encourage everyone to sign up again this year, it promises to be our most successful and coolest :-) year yet. I look forward to seeing y'all out there. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to email or call me. I will be out of town from Thursday evening until Sunday evening, so my cell phone will be the best way to get a hold of me over the weekend.
