Sorry Joe, looks like you need to either pay $75 or drive an hour. Jay __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Realistically you shouldn't need to do much of anything, as the currents involved should remain local to the back of the car, where you're doing the welding. However, to be on the safe side, I'd suggest disconnecting the battery, and if you're like me, also disconnect the DME. I did both when my cage was installed and there were no ill effects. -- ______________________________________ Andrew E. Kalman, Ph.D. aek@pumpkininc.com

What a great opportunity to enjoy your M3! The code is on a plastic card (the size and thickness of the BMWCCA membership card), and is found in the owner's manual for the radio, which is a separate manual from the M3 owner's manual. In fact, it may include TWO cards, rather than one. And don't forget to write down the code! I was commenting that it is a good idea to put this in a secure location, such as the tool kit. Then I realized that current owner didn't have the presence of mind to put this info in a good location when the new stereo was installed. Thanks.
