For a coupe, they are: 51 71 1 977 047 covering left 51 71 1 977 048 covering right. For a 97 m3 sedan: 51 71 8 151 561 covering left 51 71 8 151 562 You can order these from Circle or Pacific BMW, even though they're large, they can be shipped at a reasonable price. If you call either of these places and describe the part you're after, they're pretty good at ferreting out the pn. I don't think spending anymore jack on power is going to pay off too much at this point. I think you guys are fine because of your track knowledge and knowledge of what it takes to do well in the event. The Supra has 700hp, but they have only run Thunderhill. I'd follow the Navid Model and just keep the thing together under the radar. As OTC Director and a guy with two M3's in the garage, best of luck and see you in 6 weeks. Brian M. Josh, The BMW Camber bolts are just regular bolts (M12), and they are threaded all the way. The stock bolts have a larger smooth (14mm) shoulder to take the bearing load. I would not use the M12 bolts, since it just add slop to the system, and does not positively support the shock. You can use shims (washer) on the 2 lower bolts though to increase the camber. However, if you really have one degree difference side to side, something is probably bent, so you may want to look at that also. #5. Ferodo Brake Pad Question - from Tom Tice

Date: Sun, 23 Feb 2003 23:52:55 -0800 From: "Tom Tice" <tetice@triad.rr.com> Subject: Ferodo Brake Pad Question I let someone talk me into trying Ferodo DS3000 brake pads for the track. They didn't arrive in time for my last track event in December so I squeaked by with my old PF97s for the event - but now I've got to decide if I'm really going to give these a try. Anybody have experience with the DS3000s? I'm used to running Performance Friction (PF90, PF93, PF97 and maybe even PF83s). I really had no motivation to switch from PFs (other than a ruined set of wheels due to the dust which mixed with a hard rain and created a super crud epoxied to the wheels - but that's another story). I have to jack up the front of my car to adjust them. But you don't have to remove anything, just take the weight off the front wheels. The only negative to the K-MAC's is they don't have any graduations to position the plates. I've seen the higher priced camber plates have lines on them to at least give you a relative position. People say they raise the car. I'm not so sure. I thought I compared them to the stock strut hats and they were identical, but it has been awhile. Lowell Seaton '95 M3 BMW CCA #131505

Josh, I don't think the aluminum thermostat housing is a stock BMW part so you will have to buy it from an aftermarket company. I know BMP Designs (bmpd.com) and Zygmunt Motors (bimmerparts.com) sell one. For the BMW OE parts, I have had good luck with Hendrick BMW out of Charlotte, NC. They advertise in the Roundel. They sell for 20 or 25% (I forget) off list price to CCA members. Lowell Seaton '95 M3 BMW CCA #131505

I think the key has a computer chip in it to mate with the steering column and there is a fuel cut off added. Lowell Seaton '95 M3 BMW CCA #131505

I think it looks alot better than the large gaping holes and a view of the upper strut bearings. Of course, if you have Koni adjustable dampers, the covers may not fit. The other option I was going to try was to use the Z8 caps, but I liked the way this worked out.
